I went to West Ham tonight for my girlfriend’s Dads birthday as they put 8 past Macclesfield. Their stadium is amazing, the atmosphere non-existent, and I had to listen to things like “they’re not very good are they”, “at least they’re trying” as they gallantly referred to their opponents.

Later, in Westfield shopping centre, they were running around like they’d won the FA Cup after seeing off the team that’s bottom of the football league.

I don’t really buy into the hatred we’re meant to have for them, but I do enjoy their misfortune, which I didn’t get to see tonight.

But they can keep their £40m players, their quiet and arrogant fans, their multi million pound stadium that they did little to earn, their constant battle for 13th place and the constant confusion among their fans over how they’re not a top six side.

We have an excellent, hard working and professional side that plays exciting football and a gaffer who knows what the club is all about and acts like it. We have the oldest professional stadium in the world and there’s a reyt racket in there when we score.

Got my tickets for Millwall in Satdi and I can’t fucking wait.

Sound like fair comments to me.

What did you expect them to say?

It's nigh on miraculous what's going on at the Lane at the moment.

Maybe we've not exactly been raised from the dead after that Scunthorpe game, but it's not far off.

Lest we forget....

That day really was a low. A few hundred left in the Lane booing the players on their lap of shame. I have seen worse Blades sides, but I'm not sure I have ever seen one as disinterested and can't be arsed.

Arise Sir Chris!

Fuck ever going to watch West Ham play while sitting with West Ham fans.

I like watching Athletics there. It is loud and a great atmosphere for those events.

agree I said that after I went to 2017 world champs, & the final laps of mo farah winning the 10000m it was possible the greatest non footballing atmosphere ive heard, it was deafening & made me laugh since when the football journalists saying blaming the stadium & the distance for atmosphere. because I witnessed 1st hand. its boring west ham fans
