Last night was the worst example I can remember for a while, but it has been noticeable that we cause ourselves problems by giving away needless/cheap freekicks in our own half. Giving our opponents the opportunity to put balls into our box. Luckily, we've defended them well and the delivery/finish has largely been poor, but our luck won't hold forever.

Just about every one last night was a foul on a player who was going nowhere or with no chance of winning the ball. We really need to be more disciplined or it will cost us.

Actually thought we defended incredibly well yesterday. We’re not going to be perfect.

For me the worry wasn’t what you’ve highlighted it was how we fade in & out of games.

If we kept up the momentum we showed in flurry’s we would have won comfortably.

I can't remember thinking any of them were particularly soft other than one on Connolly.
I might have had the old Blades Tinted Specs on but apart from the ones where we deliberately took them down just over half way (all bookings) I thought he gave them a foul every time someone went near them and going the other way the same didn’t happen.

I don’t normally mind Bond but he was crap last night.

Six yellows and not really a bad tackle, plus two for them and the red.

I thought JLT’s booking should have been a foul to us. Their player was pulling him back by the arm, so Jack just lifted him and slammed him down. As an aside, I saw Jack really close up at the U23 game v Burnley recently, and his chest is huge and his shoulders really broad, hence the ridiculously long throw and also the ability to chuck a fouling opponent over his shoulder 🙂 xx

JLT didn’t get booked for that amazingly, it was a nothing foul in the 2nd half when he was booked, probably an accumulation.

He didn't get booked for that did he? He got booked later. Near the end.

Sorry, my mistake. Just as well he didn’t get carded then, he’d have been off later.

My highlight of the was JLT throwing their lad to the ground and then complaining when the free kick went against him. What on earth he was expecting I’ve no idea

Having the best defensive record in this league makes it difficult to be critical though..........and with a yawning gap between us and 3rd, especially given our injury problems this season, makes it even more difficult for me to feel any anxiety whatsoever this season. Having watched all those seasons back to 1952, I can think of more that a few when I felt differently!
