I watched Merson on Soccer Saturday commentating on our game he was willing Southampton to score he's a twat. After Saturday I've still got 1 foot and 3 toes in the Wilder in camp, as I said he's testing my patience now, everything he says is woe is me it's the players fault if he'd just say look I pick the team the buck stops with me and stop playing 3 at back get 4 in.

To be Fair JJBlade makes some fair points in his last post.
Our Football has become more hoofing and boring, and this club does have an history of if there’s a shit way of doing things they will find it.
I honestly thought with a new owner things might change but I'm not sure they have. We might have spent a bit more money on transfer fees than we would have had McCabe been still in charge, but its the wages that's actually killed us.
Add in the fact we didn't sign anyone in January when we desperately needed someone was also reminiscent of something the previous owner would have done.
The lack of news on the new training ground is also a worry.
Wilder is not totally blameless he's made some signings that we probably won't see the benifits of until next season in Brewster, McBurnie and Bogle and Lowe.
His reluctance to change our system is also not one of his strong points.
He in my view has also not played to certain players strengths mainly McBurnie and Brewster, McBurnie is not a target man and never will be.
I will cut Wilder a bit of Slack in the fact some of the players he signed were not his first choice which was more to do with wages than anything else. Plus the loss of our best center half for the whole season and the loss of our best midfielder and other central defender for a large chunk of the season.
On Balance If I was the Prince I would ask Wilder at the end of the season to explain
Why it went wrong.
Why we seem to have gone more down the hoof ball route.
Why we don't seem to be able to change our system to be more proactive.
What's his plan is to gets us back up next season.
What he requires from the owner to achieve this next season.
Providing he answers the questions positively and honestly I would be inclined to stick with him, I think he deserves that for what he has done for the club.
The Prince needs to get this right you only have to look across the city to see how choosing the wrong manager can be very expensive and costly.
Finally I hope the little worrying bell at the back of my head about the Prince is wrong. There have been a couple of rings this season with the lack of news on the training ground and not signing anyone in January.

What is embarrassing is having players in the Premier League who are unable to control a football.

Everything a player wants to do from the moment he miscontrols the ball goes out the window.

The run that somebody has made for him, out the window, the space that somebody has made for an expected simple pass, out the window. The shot at goal that was on, out the window.

This results in loss of possession or backward passes which results in a hoof upfield.

It's embarrassing when it happens a few times in a game, when players are not confident or out of form, but it's embarrassing on a different level when it's a constant throughout every game we play

Vardy: signed by Championship Leicester for £1m from Conference winners Fleetwood. That was in 2012 so 9 years ago. The closest recent example I can think of is Ivan Toney moving from Peterborough to Brentford for 10x the fee.

Kanté: signed for £5.6m in 2015 (6 years ago - when we were busy losing to Swindon in the play offs). 6 years ago.

Mahrez: signed for £600k halfway through Leicester's Championship promotion season. That's January 2014 so 7 years ago.

It's also worth pointing out that the latter two were identified by 'super scout' Steve Walsh who moved from Leicester to Everton. He was behind the £150m wasted on Davy Klaassen (€25m), Morgan Schneiderlin (£20m), Yannick Bolasie (£25m), Sandro (€6m), Sigurdsson (£45m), Nikola Vlasic (£10m) and Jordan Pickford (£30m). If picking up gems for low fees is so easy then why could the man who did it at Leicester not do it at Everton?

Our signings haven't been great but the fees from half a decade ago - or more - aren't a realistic base for criticism.

Brentford is the example to call upon but even their recent recruitment has shown an increase in fees (Maupay €2m to Mbuemo €6m to Toney £10m). That's partly down to their success but also down to the market moving. They'll also struggle to get their statistically excellent but overlooked Europeans in now the permit rules have changed.
