There was a guy from one of the PL clubs on Talksport last week discussing it.
He said they hadn’t been told for definite it would be going-ahead but the PL had been in talks with the govt for a while about how it would work and they were planning to be ready for an October launch.

Isn’t it 80% of over 16s are double jabbed and c. 90% are single jabbed? If they implement this, which is unlikely I imagine, probably close to 100% will be jabbed anyway so presume it’s a matter of scanning your app.

To enter the stadium you will need either;

Proof of double vaccination via the NHS app. Please be aware that vaccination cards will not be accepted.
Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test (LFT) via the NHS App, or via text, if you are 18 and over and registered with a GP in England. Your LFT must be taken no earlier than 2pm on Friday 3 September 2021 (i.e. 48 hours before the gates open)."

nb - that's roughly the same system that operated throughout the EUROs and at England's warm up games.

the reason I didn't buy a season ticket this year, as I figured they'd be introduced some point this season. Jabbed or not I fundamentally disagree with them and refuse to attend anywhere that requires them. I'm guessing no where will miss my business (in fact I'm sure many will welcome it) but if you can't stand for your principles what can you stand for

"Not being checked at the gates" isn't really a reason not to follow the protocol.

When I travel abroad I use a passport, when I drive my car I have my driving license.

Don't have any photo Id ( going to get round to getting passport renewed) so can't get my NHS app personalised. But really I can't see how 4g will cope in busy events...
