That ship has long since sailed, but we have the great memories.
Exactly. Ultimately, pretty much every manager leaves a club due to being shit for a period of time and making poor decisions. It’s the way it works. Thankfully for us, we had a few really good years prior to this - which he was also responsible for.
Unfortunately they were expensive decisions due to the league we were in. If he had bought players for 3 or 4 million then we would be screaming for him to ‘spend the money’
Who foresaw Brewster being poor when it seemed we had finally bought a goal scorer? How many of us were purring over Berge when he first came in?

Exactly. People have such short memories. Maybe he was out of his depth in the premier league. Maybe he was a mardy fucker who wanted full control, yes some of his signings were shit.
Think of the years before he came, think of the dross we endured, then think of the times he gave us which were the best for many blades in their life time supporting us. The football we played was THE BEST we have played for many a year.
Oh it didn’t end so well. Ok he perhaps should have done better towards the end, but he earned the right to make those decisions.
Perrhaps it isn’t right to talk about him coming back but FFS don’t annihilate the bloke that dragged us there (Against all odds and expectations in the first place)

Isn't a bit like taking back all they Christmas presents after you've given them though? You could understand if I bought someone a PS5 for Christmas and they loved it, but then I turned up with some heavies in February and took it back that people would be massively fucked off.

That's not to say the initial giving wasn't great, and the time they had with it was fantastic, but it doesn't mean that the end result isn't unacceptable.

You can't forget the fact that we were an absolute crime against football in Wilder's last season, and that his big money signings have put a huge financial strain on the club going forward, and with a small gust from the wind of misfortune we could end up in the same position as when he got here, league one.

That doesn't remove the good memories, but the good memories don't allow you to gloss over the bad either.

At least one of us

No thanks he just stabbed a fellow blade in the back took over Middlesbrough 🙄 if you want to see him fuck off to the Riverside

How the fuck do you come to that conclusion? Stabbed Warnock in the back?

Outrageous comment, and yes, I’m outraged….

I think because him and his agent has done this in the last two weeks then fellow blade gets told on the morning of his last game ,underhand shite

Well, it was your comment, let’s see you prove it first…
Theres nowt to prove ,look at what's happened .and Liston to Neil's interview after their game .if your cool with a blade doing that to a fellow blade fine .

Your comment, prove it

I take a lot of what Warnock says with a pinch of salt at times, but he's said he was told on Saturday morning he was out after the match. The replacement had been in place for 2 weeks, and he told his players at 2.50 so they couldnt text any one about it.

Not sure Wilders stabbed him in the back, the rough and tumble of football management, but it's not been tastefully dealt with by boro.

The last thing I'll say is surely Chris and Middlesbrough who have complied with taking of the knee to draw attention to the lack of opportunities in coaching and management of professional football clubs in the bame community ,would have liked a open recruitment policy .
Out of the back door in by the back door

I wouldn't be too upset with Wilder re Warnock. Gibson is constantly tapping up other managers and had Colin lined up for months when Woodgate was still 'in charge' of Boro

If results don't pick up, say we are in the bottom three in January, I could see Slav leaving. If that happens the new man would have the sole brief of saving us from relegation. If he wanted the job Warnock would probably be on the shortlist.

Can't see him being tempted though, given the abuse he'd get if he couldn't stop the rot

FFS Chris wilder here, Chris Wilder there, Chris Wilder Bloody everywhere are we such a boring brainless fan base that we cant talk about anything else. He is now part of our history, he moved on, so Whether your pro Wilder or anti Wilder get over it and move on! We got far more important things to discuss. I don't know about any of you but I support SHEFFIELD UTD NOT Chris Wilder FC.
