That on the last day of the season we will need a win to stay up. And yes just like Walsall all those years ago we are playing another team from the West Midlands.
Odds anyone?

Unfortunately the players made available in the loan window to clubs at our level are usually dogshit. We can stay up, but we need players. Transfer window has ended with nuttin doin. Remains to be seen if we get anybody in on loan. Need a quality striker and a quality CM'er or we're basically toast.

At this moment in time, ALL the other teams are the better teams.I can't see us scoring enough goals with the players we have to reach the safety target of 50 -54 points, bearing in mind we have all the better teams in the league left to play.
Given the title of this thread, it's worth noting that we are 5/1 with Victor Chandler to be relegated, 9/2 with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power. They're saying there's less than a 20 per cent chance of that happening. Mind you, we were 12/1 shots to be relegated going into the last day of the 1993/94 season and 7/1 on the morning of the Wigan game in 2007.
I reckon 9/2 = 22% chance myself, but maybe I don't get odds (9/2 = 4.5/1 = 1/4.5 = 0.22). Clearly the bookies haven't seen us play Notts County, Walsall and Crewe.
I've spent a lifetime backing horses and betting odds are one thing I do understand. Odds of 9/2 suggest that there are two chances in eleven of United being relegated. Two-elevenths, expressed as a percentage is 18.18. The VC odds of 5/1 equate to 16.67%.
Think about throwing dice. There's a one in six chance of any particular number coming up. That would be expressed as 5/1, not 6/1. Or tossing a coin. Heads would be a one in two chance, as would tails. That would be expressed as evens or 1/1. No bookie would offer you 2/1.
Might have a bit at 5/1 just in case the worst does happen! Still reckon we'll stay up though.
we have only lost 3 at home in 13 2 under weir
we need 27 points to get to 53 out of 57 available
dont believe the squad now is worse than 20 other clubs over 46
