Chris gave me the best period of being a blade in my lifetime, but once his methods had been worked out, he was done.

A colleague is a staunch boro fan, we had a conversation on the day Wilder was sacked and he said that it had been coming and without me prompting said that he doesn't have a plan B, and his only response is to chuck on additional strikers when chasing a game.

He said they struggled to break defensive teams down and just passed it from one side of the pitch to the other without going anywhere and wilder didn't have the answers. Sounded so familiar.

I also listened to Undr the Cosh with Ricky Ravenhill who played under Wilder at Northampton and he said that Wilder was either a great bloke or an absolute wanker and players could never judge what mood he was in, so might be an absolute cock when it's not going his way. I think this was proved on the numerous times he publicly threatened to resign and criticised the board.

I love wilder, but wouldn't have him back.
