Both recruited as young and up and coming players from League 1, both were their teams previous player of the year I think.

It’s a shame we didn’t recruit like that this year, or in fact for the previous 2 years.

Absolutely, what a back 5 coupled with Bash, Egan, JOC. Complimented each other so well. How tragic things have turned out though, losing George so young, Jack and Bash suffering career ending injuries. I'm getting all misty eyed now. It was an absolute pleasure to watch them in that time frame but chuffin hell life does deal a shit hand out at times.

That first 6 months in the Prem, Enda was genuinely unbelievable. Technically spot on, composed, physically matched some of the best wingers in the world.

I’d argue his drop off post-lockdown was one of the most dramatic. He looked a shell of that player technically and physically and never really recovered.

George just maintained his consistency and 100% attitude throughout. Just a player who typified everything a fan wants to see, regardless of their ability (and he was bloody good). Still so heartbreaking.

George was not far behind and his enthusiasm and commitment was a joy to watch.

JOC was on the verge of England call-ups.

Bash was the improved player in Blades history

All of it created and managed by - hmm yes, that guy that everybody despises all of a sudden!

Why is CW so reticent to employ the back five again. The Wolves game was easily our best at the back this season. Once we get our wing backs in, it should work a treat.

I probably use Enda as a yardtick, maybe shouldn't do really, and compare RND and whoever with prime Enda, and think we've never really replaced him. Is it even possible? Think MCallum is possibly best so far. No I dont rate Burrows either.

Was a fantastic squad all around, humbled some of the big boys that season. I'm still convinced, had covid not happened and JOC not getting injured, that we'd have had a good few seasons in the Prem.

Always remember sharing a urinal in the Plat and an onward journey for more beers with Enda and, I’ve heard a lot of platitudes from footballers over the years, but him telling me unsolicited what it meant to a number of them and knowing he really meant it… happy days, what a time.

That and there’s not player I’ve enjoyed hearing sang about whilst stressing train ceiling tiles more, other than perhaps a certain Didsy.
