General Election.

Anyway I think it's fair to say that my "General Election" idea has fallen on stoney ground.

Ah well, we move on.

Nothing wrong with a bit of innovation and free thinking. I do think there is a silent majority or should I say a vociferous minority on here though. Me? A mere novice on 1600 posts. Only one "like" on this thread though and that was tongue in cheek, so crap idea, move on.:tumbleweed:

There could be a fair few voting with their feet when it comes to season tickets, that is just as important IMO.
True, we will not know that until we know what the season end brings.

Good idea, just fell on deaf ears. :D

I'm not entirely sure what the hell you are going on about?

Whether you meant was I was a right whinger or a right winger I don't know. I would class myself as neither.

Not that I have a clue what it has to do with anything?

It was a bit of fun, like a pun or a "play on words", with both a political and a footballing connotation.. you know freedom of speech/ stop talking bollocks/ right winger/ whingher ... oh buggar, I failed to add the smiley;)

Another of my posts to fall on stoney ground I'm afraid. Don't worry, we creative types often struggle to carry folk along with us. Bit of fun that's all. not funny I guess.:(

Have a like for effort.

...still not a clue :-)

Maybe we can revisit your post if for some reason we fuck it up.

That, i.e. the timing of the election, was built into the OP but I do honestly think we have fucked up already. The issue is not whether we scrape promotion after this poor, poor effort this season. The issue is whether Clough is good enough a manager to fulfill the ambitions of the Board who want to be in the Premier League within 5 years of taking over half the club. Which Party would you vote for at this moment in time anyway? Bear in mind our budget will maybe be average at best amongst Championship clubs, not in the top few like this season in this league.

I would be pro Clough at the moment unless we do fuck it up, I don't think we will and I truly believe we can win the playoffs, as for the championship I think we will hold our own.

Bladepicker, you leave Woodwardfan alone, if he wants to talk bollocks he should be allowed to continue doing what he's clearly accomplished at.

A good forum needs balance, which includes the weird, the wonderful, and the completely barmy. I'll leave you to conclude which of those groups he belongs in.

I'll take it that you would never call anybody "barmy", no class in doing that, I mean to say such a level headed normal bloke calling an unfortunate person "barmy", no class in that.

So I'm either weird or wonderful. Can't be weird because I'm a Blade and no Blades are weird surely, nothing weird being a Blade, itsinyerblood.

So I'll take "wonderful" but I must say I only hit such peaks on odd occasions, generally I'm just bloody good.

Great contribution to the thread though mate.

Great idea Woody, we already have something similar, currently going on.
As I see it there's already been a 7 party debate.

1. Cameron as the incumbent is clearly the Keep Clough Party.
Smooth talking, promises everything tomorrow. Somehow there's a feeling it is all bollocks.
2. Miliband is the anti Clough Party.
A step into the unknown, could be brilliant but not sure what you getting, maybe be a Robson/M.
Foot or a J.Harris/H Wilson.
3. Clegg is the give Clough the benefit of the doubt.
Perfect fit for those who like to sit on the fence and see which way the wind is blowing.
4. Farage is the leave the Premier League join the Central League Party.
Always backward looking and life was so much better before the foreigners invaded the PL.
5. Bennet is the New Pitch Party.
A nice green pitch and everything will be all lovely again.
6. Sturgeon is the Join the Scottish Premiership Party
We can't vote for them so ignore then.
7. Wood is the Join the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League
We can't vote for them as no one knows what the feck Corbett Sport or Plaid is.

I commend your leaders to the house, I mean forum.
