I wish they would have used that one on Tuesday when Walker had the ball and Hendo was alone in the box with the keeper and could have easily had time to score. Instead of throwing it to Ched who had come V short.

I think greay have true passion about his way he plays football. Every game he puts in 120% without a doubt. He never withdraw from challengers and his tackling it superb. I love the way he slides and get the ball and leaves the opponent flattened on his face. Geary is a legend!!!

That was the Del of old though. This injury has been so long that we will have to see what kind of player returns. Love to see the old #26 back - but I'm not counting any chickens just yet

I'm not a medical expert but I believe the term used for it is fucked. He had a fucked knee. Hope that helps.

Well we brought Armstrong back from a career ending injury and he came back good.

agreed. whilst i accept his determination and enthusiasm are great and he did have a great season in the premier league which took me by surprise I worry when he plays at the back because he has similiar traits to walker when it comes to keeping the line and holding his positioning but doesn't have walker's pace for when he gets caught out. Still it would be nice to have another option at right back other than France as he leaves a lot to be desired in that position.

RB is yet another position Blackwell was happy for us to start the season with few options for cover in; given that in reality walker had played only a handful of games (no matter how good) this was another failing in the planning dept that may now come home to roost.

I'd love Geary to play again for us, but I don't think he'll be the force he once was. He's a few years older than Stretch was when he got injured, and age may well be a factor that counts against him. I know he's only 29, but for a footballer that's getting on a bit. I hope he does come back and play a lot more for us, but I think he just might be finished, which would be a real shame, for him and for us.

Whilst i wouldn't describe Geary as a legend, the several lung busting performances he's put in over the years marks him down as one of my favourites.

The game against the arse at Highbury in the cup stands out for one.

If only he was a few inches taller he'd have played at a higher level than he has.

If my memory serves me right, when we played Man City Geary was up against Distin and beat him to 95% of the headers during the game.
Distin has to be a foot taller than Geary!

I think the issue was that he ran out of cartilidge(sp?) in at least one of his two knees a few seasons ago.

A pre-match drinking mate of mine knows him through a shared mate and from conversations I've heard about, we are both truly amazed that he has made it back.
