Sheffield United midfielder Alan Quinn and defender Derek Geary have agreed new contracts with the club, reports BBC Radio Sheffield.
The new deals will ensure the pair both remain at Bramall Lane until 2010.

Quinn, 28, has played 97 games for the Blades since joining on a free transfer from Sheffield Wednesday in June 2004.

Geary, 27, another former Owls player, moved to Bramall Lane for £25,000 from Stockport in October 2004 and has played 75 games for the club.

Quinn told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I went in to see the gaffer (Bryan Robson) to see where I stood and I am thrilled that he wants me to part of things here.

"I'm now looking forward to the start of the season and ready to fight for my first team place."

Great news on Del's contract, wasn't sure Quinny would be signing another though!

To be honest, if quinn can sort out managing to get back like he does going forward then he will be a fantastic assett to us. And Geary goes with out saying is a fantastic re-signing

Only if he remembers how to pass and take people on, which he seems to have also forgotten recently :)

Lets hope Robbo/Kidd can give him a kick up the backside and get him back to his best.

good news. hope del can have another superb season like last!

Yeah good news init. Especially Geary who i agree was great last year.

Good good news

del boy was a great player last year and i hope for the same again

If quinn can get in the side and back to his normal self this will prove useful aswell

Quinn has the ability to be the kind of attacking midfielder that we are all craving, he had a cracking spell in the team during the promotion season (if my fading memory serves me right).

I'm happy that both players have signed on, Gearys stock has risen out of all proportion following his magnificent turn last season. I hope that it can continue this year.

Sounds like the players seem to like what Robbo is doing so far.

Good news all round.

Aye lets not forget his goal against Wednesday. :D
