...and defended well apart from the goal. But we have to start the matches properly and on the front foot, otherwise with our poor goal output we are going to struggle.

Positives in amongst it:-
Basham was superb again, ditto Baldock keen defending.
Burke looks like he has something and played a lovely ball in for the penalty.
Ampadu looked alright by all accounts.
Berge carried the ball forwards.
We didn’t collapse after conceding and kept our organisation and discipline.

We started so slowly again, seems to take us 20-30 mins to get going. Whether it was a red is not the point, but we got exposed with the ball over the top, soft fouls, bookings and just generally looked lethargic.

But we did come back, found out shape again, nullified Villa and tried to counter them.

Frustrating game as like against Wolves I think we made life difficult for ourselves. Had the chance to take advantage with the pen but blew that.

Interesting that their keeper got MoM
