Serious question, Is he the right man for the job? He's had a few games now to try and change a few things so what do you reckon?

Should he have been appointed or someone else? What's your opinions?

Yes in my eyes he still is, he has the team playing a better style of football, and creating chances simple as we created less then your lads had on Saturday for too many games. Tonight sounds like one of the most bizarre and freaky games in the world.

Don't seem like much has changed at all to me......Cheap as Chips MK2

Speed has changed our style of play where players are comfortable on the ball and manage to create chance after chance.

Something Robson couldn't do with years of experience, a longer time frame and a vastly better squad.

If our strikers could finish we would have been out of sight in the first half and talking about making it four on the bounce on Saturday.

More organisation in defence, which Morgan will bring on Saturday, and the second half scoreline wouldn't have looked half as ugly.

Speed is the right man for the job.

I'm really impressed, despite tonight's surreal events. He just needs to find a formula with the strikers and ensure the suicidal mistakes are eliminated at the back.

Challenges lie ahead, but I like what I see.

i like him, i rekon he gets on well with the players and thinks more like a player than most managers. give him time (and yes during this time there will be heartache) hel do the job. second half of the season will be completely different! but wel hang on till then

Speed had better find some scoring from somewhere fast lots of so called chances but nobody can find the back of the net but the visiting strikers.
Teams are going to love coming to the Lane getting clean sheets and cranking up their goal differential Qpr with 3 ,Scunny with 4 .

I think McCabe will be happy with 21st this season, I doubt we'll be seeing any class come in. I reckon we're back where we were when Warnock took over (though god knows how we've been so financially mismanaged over the last 3-4 years??) and we may be looking at at least a couple of years in the doldrums, I think its more a case of if Speed will stick with us through it. I genuinely think we sacked Blackwell as soon as it was feasibly possible (a drubbing to Warnocks QPR at home, long long after he shouldve been sacked for poor play/results) to get some money in for Sharp first. The irony being our idiot managers pay-off having given him a big extension to his deal, was probably financed by that deal in itself!

4 games and 2 wins and 2 losses and some people are questioning Gary Speed (yes I know Deej is an Owl, but I've heard some Blades saying the same).

I personally wouldn't have given GS a 3 year contract.
But I think in the short time he has been in charge, we can now see a difference in play, creating more open chances, and one team soon will get a spanking.

Come on Chedwyn.

I wasn't having a go mate, it was a genuine question. Been on holiday for the past 10 days. Few of my mates are grumbling already and a few are saying he's okay and will come good.

It was a genuine question as to how you all feel.

I agree entirely JD. Football is coming home, but it will involve some painful experiences along the way! In facing the challenges, however, I'm quite sure GS will, in the foreseeable future, make a change that will delight me but leave you in utter dark despair. Will you cope?

You can't be serious with that comment surely.

You really can't see anything different on the pitch between the last manager and this one?

Might be one of the 'fans' that never actually sees anything on the pitch because they don't go...

Another pathetic WUM in my eyes.
