Although wrong here, Crooks, like any other pundit, has the occasional moment of useful input.
To be fair to the guy, he's been going on for years about how poor the referees are in this country and talking about why they are never at big tournaments, and it's fair to say VAR has showed him to be right.

Just don't understand what could possess someone to link his race to his comments though.
It's clear some people just can't be educated I guess.....
We live in a world where Robbie Savage is paid for his footballing opinion, how anyone after listening to him for 10 seconds can still hold any kind of 'racist superiority' opinion about anyone else is bizarre to me.

Dias deservedly made it for his performance on Saturday, looked absolutely outstanding and one of the best defensive performances I have seen against us.

There was a moment where he even matched Burke for pace. What a player, though a compliment to us here.

Joachim Andersen (Crystal Palace): Wilfried Zaha may have gone, but that does not seem to have affected Crystal Palace and their approach to the new season. Eberechi Eze looked comfortable in midfield and capable of replacing Zaha, supported by Palace's latest addition to the team Jefferson Lerma.

But it was at the back that the Eagles looked most impressive in their 1-0 win at Sheffield United, restricting their hosts to very few chances. Joachim Andersen appeared to be in command in defence for Palace and was unlucky not to have scored with a header in the second half.

However, for Max Lowe to behave so aggressively towards Roy Hodgson as the player tried to retrieve the ball was quite disgraceful and he should have been booked. I hope the Sheffield United defender at least had the decency to apologise to the Crystal Palace manager for his loutish behaviour.

A quite frankly outrageous comment from someone who should have been put out to grass years ago.

Max Lowe was very clearly only having eyes on retrieving the ball. Purely by accident did he bump into Hodgson who, looking back was probably embarrassed by his overly aggressive demeanour. Hence why he himself tried to laugh it off in the post match interview.
