Due to a frozen pitch.

What the fuck have we been doing with our undersoil heating all night? How incredibly tinpot and pathetic 😂

Penny pinching United at it again.

Least we won't have to endure the cold!

Well this is embarrassing 😅

How the fuck are we getting frozen pitch postponements - it's 2026 😂

I did a double take, could understand it being postponed at Oxford.

Very tinpot 😂

All the South Yorkshire games are postponed and then you have to go down to league 2 to see another postponement.

We need a better explaination. How could the pitch frozen when we have undersoil heating?

Loads of people will have already set off, bought non-refundable train tickets etc
It wasnt turned on or turned on properly. It will have been put on a timer to come on for an hour in early hours (where electric is cheaper) and then just used cover for pitch.

Either we trying to save money, its malfunctioned or we just dont want to play the game so manipulated it to not fully defrost the pitch.

Should have tried the heating system earlier in the week to see if everything was OK.
Maybe we just ran out of 50ps for the meter !!!.

For those saying it’s a ‘planned’ postponement because of the build up of games, CW is fuming. If it is planned, it’s not by the playing management.

If it's "tactical" the club and whoever made the decision should be ashamed. Hundreds of Oxford fans hugely out of pocket on travel costs. Plus we've just been taking the piss out of Wednesday for not managing their squad properly and begging for emergency signings....not a good look for us if we then "accidentally" get a game called off cos some professional athletes are a bit tired.

All part of the wider conspiracy - he's just making it look more realistic, they've already ordered snow so Mansfield gets called, we'll never play again, trying to save money on appearance bonuses.

When was the last time we had a game frozen off at home?

I can remember Reading away where it was minus 5 in the daytime and it still went ahead so I can't see why a ground with under soil heating fails
