According to that tosser Alan Nixon

Wages too big, Working on it, No contact (phew), Wages too big

Looks like we're settling on Waghorn and he isn't a smokescreen like some predicted

Sounds like a knock-off Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

How is it settling going for the bloke who almost scored more than the rest of them combined last season?

Great band. Saw them at the Merrie England Bar in 1971.
Wow, used to go in there for the lunch time strippers and a pint when I was at Sheffield Poly, happy days :)

It's particularly annoying with Gallagher, it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Why would Southampton pay him over 20k p/w? All it does is cost them more than necessary and limit his loan options and consequently his development.

Obviously they're after another hugely beneficial loan for him like Birmingham was last season...

It's annoying when players that have hardly had a sniff of first team football (your Gallaghers, Sinclairs, Quina's), are still out of our range wage wise.

Shows how totally fucked up the game is.

Exactly.

People will dig at the club for not paying these wages but I see it as more of a reflection on the state of football than United. It's showing no signs of stopping either.

I think they want to sell him. 7mil quoted

I think Waghorn might have initially been plan B behind Hogan but I'm glad we've had to move onto plan B in that case, because I'd take Waghorn permanently over an expensive loan for Hogan all day long.
