Fucked by injuries, time wasting and a terrible referee

Time wasting should not be a problem for any ref to deal with simply add on more time than was wasted.

The real damage that time wasting does is it stops any momentum that the opposition has built up.

They had the best chance of the game and scored it.

I've no reservations about the result, but the manner of their victory was extremely frustrating.

Time wasting is part of a tempo-slowing strategy. We do it as well.
I like the one where you go to the far end of the field when you're about to be subbed and then walk slowly back shaking hands and back-slapping with every other player. Cracking one that one.

Ref stops his watch for substitutions.

You could take 3 hours to walk off but I'm not sure those boards the 4th blindman holds up has 240 minutes on it.

I am so disappointed that a Norwich team, full of quality, come to Bramall Lane, to play a team just promoted from league one and park the bus, time waste and feign injury. Pathetic. Lost the little respect I ever had for them.

Or

Got even more respect for Chris that the Norwich scouts went back with a game plan to nullify us by parking the bus, time wasting and feigning injury?

The time wasting...everyone does it,but it was way OTT..the ref let them get away with it and the Keeper was doing it most of the first half aswell.
I think we put in 100% allover the pitch, although a bit sloppy in possrsion at times...They had a solid block of 6 with the 2 holding Midfielders packing out their box and we struggled to break it down...and ithout proper for strikers, plus no height in the box unless the back late came up for set pieces it was difficult...other than that, anything in the air they were comfortable.
Pleased with Brooks...he didn't look out of place and caused them a few problems...maybe should have scored, but the Keeper did well...Coutts,Bash and JOC also played well.
Hopefully one or two strikers back for Sunday, and we're easily capable going there and getting a result on Sunday.

Always going to be an uphill battle against an tall set of defenders with Ched and Brooksy not being the tallest. Brooks was unlucky not to score and Ched held the ball up and turned defenders, but with no one on the end of some decent crosses. Thought the team gave 100% so no complaints, just not our day.The time wasting was quite frankly embarrassing and if the ref had some bottle he would have booked their keeper early on to set the tone. Good to see Thomas being given a chance, like his directness and he crosses well, hopefully more appearances as an impact sub.
