Enlighten us obsessed folk (AKA the overwhelming majority): what have you seen to date that suggests that Clarke & Sharp are a good pairing to start with?

Their respective goal scoring records, especially at this level. Their ability to play the game, especially by comparison with the severely limited Runaround. He had a flash in the pan season and tries hard. He gives the illusion of involvement but achieves very little other than the acclaim of naive S2 folk who value sweat over skill.

I don't think about them at all. The long-since unemployable hoofer and the Everton player are completely irrelevant to our football club.

I hope he does really well and maybe even scores (I know, I know..). When Leon Clarke plays the Runarounders want him to fail so their favourite can run around a bit more. That's the difference.

Hallelujah. Let's watch him carefully, shall we, Blades? We might just see his reactive, aimless, ineffective shadow-chasing for what it is. I hope I'm wrong but I've seen it all before...

Whether it's the Bladey bête noire Leon Clarke or someone else, Runaround needs to be, and will be, replaced. Let's see if he's runninaround come January.

Hopefully Done will now realise he needs to do more than run around a lot. Everyone likes to see effort but Done needs to contribute much more on the ball.

The whole team need to be a lot more purposeful than in recent games and get at Swindon from the start.

Are you stupid Pinchy? Can't you see that we play 25 yards higher up the pitch with Done in the team?

Yes his finishing isn't the best, but when you drop Done you lose A LOT. It's not just about stats on FIFA 17 and who is the better finisher on paper.

In a perfect world, we would have Done in the side to push the opposition back, and Clarke and Sharp up front to finish the chances we create from playing on the edge of their area, but that would probably mean dropping a center half which would be too risky.

People don't want Done in the side out of sentiment, they see how much he changes the shape of the game with his pressing, albeit without scoring many goals.

I don't understand why you have to slag our players off and claim some sort of holier than thou status. When we sign a Done that can finish as well, then we drop Done. Not until.

It would be like Klopp dropping Mane because Balotelli is a better finisher. Wouldn't happen.
