This is obviously the first time we've had a World Cup in the middle of a season.

Does anyone know if the club has friendlies lined up to keep players match fit?

Doubt it pal just want that shitty World Cup over and resume normal service
I agree, really miffed that there is a gap in our fixtures.

So I would really love the idea of a couple of friendlies.

PL clubs were given the green light to arrange friendlies. Not heard or seen anything about Championship clubs.

Maybe a behind closed door friendly against another Championship club or PL club, doubt we go abroad or Scotland.

Would be a big surprise if we didn't plan some friendlies! Have to keep the players ticking over.
Prem teams playing championship clubs behind closed doors will be the norm I think.

I may just settle for watching sufc women on 20th Nov and then Sheffield Fc the following weekend…

SUFC Academy football continues through the World Cup break. Including games at Bramall Lane.
A chance to get minutes in legs for those returning from injury. That or mini pre season in Grimsby, to include golf and sea fishing as background activities!

East coast caravan sites would be glad of the off season income, and it’s probably all the club can afford?

I wouldn't... let's get as many injured players back without adding any to the list!

What could possibly go wrong

Careful what you wish for, Jonny Bairstow recently broke his leg playing golf!

Just remembered the small clubs in leagues one and two are still playing. during the world cup.

Even the 'massive' small clubs ;) though how they will cope with the loss of all their word class players remains to be seen.
