Freeman

I do think Freeman needs to work on the defensive side of his game. Going forward hes quality but hes often drawn towards the ball and leaves his man unmarked, however it probably didn't help playing behind JCR for most of his game.

For me Brayford walks straight into the team at RB I think Freeman needs to be looking to challenge at LB if he wants a starting spot.

What complete bollocks. Same goes for Lane Ender for liking it.

The single most stupid thing I've read since the weekend.
You are right most of that what Rudders said was gobbledygook .
I'm on holiday had one too many sherberts
However I don't retract one word from my following post
Brayford is the only full back of note at this club

As they played for the U21's last week I assumed they were back to fitness (or nearing)
Adkins said they are still a while of . But who knows. I do actually think cuvelier has got a huge future at the lane tho.we haven't got much players like him. Im not sure about wallace tho I liked him instantly but hes always going to have injuries

Please post facts on this forum freeman played every game when fit ie not injured for mansfield and did well in a poor side a bit like the side now at times so inconsistent but it will come right

I for one think you've played very well this season mate, so keep it up.

How do you know Cuvelier has a huge future but Wallace is always going to have injuries?

Our most consistent player so far this season and always puts a shift in.

He's better than a lot make out.

He's also second best (in average rating) of all of the players who have featured in 10+ fixtures in the Player Ratings on here, behind only Sharp - http://www.s24su.com/forum/index.php?prs/
Which I think is accurate. If I was to vote for who's been our player of the season so far, I'd give it Sharp, with Freeman in 2nd.

He was good in the shawshank redemption
Freeman?

Harris------Edgar-------Brayford-------Freeman

Looks a decent back four for League one

Would anyone keep Freeman? See he's been linked with Pompey today and I expect him to be the easiest to shift of the transfer listed players but as direct competition for Brayford I'd like him to stay. Providing his attitude is right.

Lets not forget for 5 months last season he was our best player.

But I trust the gaffer to make the right decision anyway.

Nope. He is, and always has been a waste of wage. I don't mean that in a derogatory way either. On is day he's a very good League 1 right back. But on his day, John Brayford is a very very good Championship right back.

We should never have spent money on the wages of a player we simply didn't need. He's the epitome of the money wasted over the last few seasons.

Freeman fell suspect to one of the many over reactions of performances last season, as seen by this thread. Long was another. Pulled off a few decent saves and he was destined for the Premier League. Reality is that Freeman was always bang average at best, and as said at the time, didn't deserve the contract extension that footballing genius Adkins gave him.

I think that at this stage in his career he should be playing regular football. He probably won't get that with us and we're probably paying him decent wages so I wouldn't be bothered if he left and freed up some of the wage budget.

I'm surprised Portsmouth are in for him to be honest, from what I heard he didn't start too many games.

I think you're right in saying he was one of our better performers during the first half of the season though.

If you've got a very very good championship right back, why would you want his deputy to be a merely average league 1 right back? You'd surely want someone who could slot in without the rest of the team having to compensate too much.

Really ? Must have seen different games to me. He was ok but nothing more
Agree to disagree but he was the only player offering any genuine width or attacking threat. He surprised me.

Freeman didn't sign any extensions under Adkins. He's still on the 2-and-a-half year deal Clough gave him in January 2015.

He's not a bad player but it's not worked out for him here. He played well at left back in Clough's first season and I remember him coming on at right wing against Coventry in 2015 (2-2 draw; Baxter red card) and playing a blinder.
