How will know we if their good enough for this level or above if wont try them out. I think with talent like the 4 you have listed, it wasn't a case of the players being given a chance because of Southampton's financial problems. They got a chance because they are fucking class players!

I guarantee if we had a young player with the potential of any of those players they would be in the first team. Adkins picks Reed, so it's not that he has some over 30s fetish, it's because in his view, he is picking the best players at the club.

They are class players but how did they know at the time that these 3 16yr olds & 1 18yr old would turn out to be this good

Miles Addison is one who might be worth looking at. Posh would have kept him but they already have 5 centre backs.

Not that we need another right back but Marco Motta is another interesting name on the list. I wonder if he is a right wing back?

Also if we do need a target man even just for the rest of the season and maybe next then we can't go wrong with Zigic.

Then there are the players already discussed Thomas and Moussa.
