PLEASE CLICK HERE

If you've been around here a while, you may know that we had a run-in with Football DATACO as to us having fixtures displayed on the old version of the site... HERE

However, a number of sites have now mobilised and formed the Free the Fixtures campaign, to allow fan sites to display fixtures for nowt.

So... please sign the petition and add your support and remember to say we sent you! Hopefully one day, we might get to display the things without paying thousands.

Thank you Robbie for your support!

Your signature was received on Monday, June 18 at 7:15:41 PM.

We have sent you an email, please click on the link in the email to verify your signature.

Cheers everyone... will hopefully benefit us and all the other people in our position.

signed... cummon free the fixtures!!!

Signed. I had NO idea sites weren't allowed to put the list up. o_O It boggles the mind, so it does. I know a few live journals and such that list them, but I'm not bothering them til they get a personal email. I can plead innocence. Really. *whistles*

ive just signed, so ill await the confirmation email to make that certain.

Ive also read through the watford debate on the other link, and to be honest they have got all the forums and fans sites exactly where they want us.

I have had one thought though, for you guys in charge. What about getting intouch with SUFC and explaining the situation to them (Not that they probably dont already know). Instead of requesting the Fanzine status, which to be honest is hardly gonna happen, how about requesting a constant link from our site to the OS fixture list? Alternativley we could just do it anyway. At the end of the day nothing has been mentioned that says we cant have the fixture list if its piggy backed from another site?

just a thought

Signed it.

Got to say I never realised that fans sites weren't allowed to reproduce something as readily available as fixture lists.

Ridiculous.

It is daft isn't it? Apparently they're copyrighted though. Next time I'm at a match I might explain that my presence there is copyrighted by me, and that I don't want them using my presence in the official attendance ;)

We could do that anyway... but at the end of the day, it isn't really the point.

The PL want us to link to their Premium TV sites because every click increases their advertising revenue... something we don't particularly agree with.

We tried to get in touch with some people at the club regarding the nominated fanzine status, but no one at the club ever got back to us. While they refuse to acknowledge us, we want as little to do with them as possible.

Petty? Possibly. But we have our principles. That's why our site hasn't been sold off to come of the networks or strewn with advertising... despite the offers we receive.

Everyone knows where they can go if they want to see the fixtures... massive corporations who can pay the thousands of pounds they want.

Why not help us little guys out? We're not asking for the world, just the right to print some words on the interweb without the threat of being shut down.

So from us, thank you for signing and spread the word :)

i couldnt agree more with that linz. But things like this do make me think about the membership comments i made to you before. Not to mention the string of unwanteds that we've had recently, and are bound to get regardless of the impending arbitration result.

But dont get me wrong, i completely understand the reasons behind how you run things.

Much respect to you n the Fox

Just a little bump for anyone who hasn't seen it... please sign THIS petition in support of us long-suffering fansite owners everywhere!

Signed, free the fixtures now, which prison are they in and what were they sentenced for?
