The next time I followed the Blades to play at Charlton but that was at Upton Park (Charlton shared the ground at the time) in the FA Cup in January 1992. We drew 0-0

I remember that game, chiefly because it was one of the dullest games I've ever seen.

If any Charlton fans are reading and fancying staying over on the Saturday night, I'm sure we'd be able to provide a decent list of eateries and ale houses...

Thought you were inviting them round to yours for a minute there.

And hope my fellow Blades make every one of them welcome at The Lane.

Not only did they put the pigs in their place in the last round but I always remember them as one of the few clubs that came out of the woodwork and publicly supported United over the Tevez affair.

I hope it's a great game and the best team wins. Will of course be a bonus if that's us but i bear Charlton no ill will whatsoever

Over 3,000 sold and won't go on general sale until monday. Will 100% sell out in our end.

Considering the K/O time its been a fantastic effort. Cant wait now.

It is a great effort considering you have been royally shafted regarding the train times etc. Charlton fans are always a decent lot, and while I hope of course that we stuff you, I will wish you all the best if you reach the Semi Final.

Great thought r.e. the free coaches but unfortunately the way it is is the way it is now, the FA want to please the armchair fans and they will drive the hardcore fans who pay hundreds per week for travel, tickets etc., away.

Sold out now! Only took less than 72hrs! Will be a cracking atmosphere, just search us up vs Fulham when we brought similar numbers in the FA Cup, shame so many of these are fair weather supporters

Always had a very little soft spot for Sheffield United and never liked those down the road from you.. Plus with our current position in the league, and yours too in League One it would be a HUGE achievement to reach Wembley. May the best team win

Great to hear you've sold out, we've sold 15,000 from what I saw on Twitter earlier. So that's 20,000 sold with 6 days left.

As I said at the start of this thread, I love to see the away end full, it's rarely happened since we've been in league one, but for a few games like local derbies. It's quite an effort and with Paul Lamberts comments still ringing in our ears from the 3rd round game at Villa, it seems that not everyone shares his view. Thankfully!

The two lowest ranked teams left in the cup battling it out for a place at wembley probably doesn't excite many neutrals, but I personally love it.

In the meantime we've got the small matter of taking on the posh before we try to continue our fantastic cup run, but come Wednesday morning cup fever will be alive again in our part of Sheffield and this part of Japan!

p.s. can't wait to enter Jess Ennis..... stand :D:fattwat:

Infact that reminded me I had a bet on Villa to beat you's in Rd3, now look where we are!!! Glad it did lose! I think it's what football's about but then your Manchester United fan sitting on the sofa won't be too happy with it, but at least he gets to watch some hard fought footballers earning their crust, not being paid £100k a week each and still struggling to win a game.

We've been hit down to earth by the immortal Leicester unfortunately, which was to be expected, now I think it's about resting legs for this tie. At this moment in time I wouldn't say no to a replay, and a packed Valley once again, it's been years upon years since I've heard it rocking and it's a magic place when it is!

I wish my club Charlton offered us discount knowing we are struggling to get up there, have to put up with coach no trains early enough, anyway enough about our gripes will see you on sunday

good effort on selling out so quickly

safe journey up and hope you are on your way back by 12.45
