With Mepham, Woods and Sawyers possibly moving they're likely to bring in more than £20m. While they're still sat on the likes of Bentley and Watkins who'd also net them big profits.

We might have to move on from Egan if Mepham is sold because they'll have no need to sell and a depleted numbers of CBs.

Back on topic why are we pursuing a youngster who has just 11 appearances for Crawley in the football league back in 2015 against his name? Yes he's had a few appearances up in Scottish football but he's hardly set the world alight. Goalkeeper is a critical position. Getting an untried youngster in just because he's played for the England U21's seems a backward step. Surely we are going to spend some money on the likes of Blackman, Henderson or even Johnstone on loan.

Agreed, Blackman and Moore is more than adequate for this league, just get Blackman in asap and plan in other areas, it’s a no Brainer.

How do you know he wants to come here? He might not be ruling it out but if another club comes in for him and offers join more money, he’ll probably go there instead. Fabianski is leaving Swansea for example, they could afford to pay £8m for him and match his current wages, we couldn’t.

What happens if he holds out until August then fucks off to somewhere like Leipzig?
