I can't see it mate, solely because Billy is the only match fit forward we currently have, although McGoldrick and McBurnie seem close, Robinson's leaving, of course, and Mousset is, well, Mousset!

I don’t think he’ll get a starting slot, he has to be playing games at this stage of his career because he’s been advised by Giggs that he needs to be playing games now, for this reason alone I don’t think he’s coming to us this season, he simply won’t play enough.

We can Snowflake, but just seems a lot for 2 starting positions, and we've never gone with more than 5 at any given time to my knowledge under Wilder.

I'm still not hugely excited as I don't think it's a massive boost to our starting 11. But he's clearly talented and massively improves the squad. Just need the starting striker now.

Just checked Davalon, he's 6.0ft tall but some players at that height can be excellent in the air still. Different position, but Shearer is 6.0ft tall as an example.

Hmm OK, but there's some serious excitement around here with regards to him. Overly high expectations don't normally end well as fans feel let down when they're not immediately met.
Fingers crossed if it is him we're interested in, he get's off to a good start.

Guessing this will be the foreign based player, as it seems we are looking at someone from abroad and its likely a loan as Wilder mentioned two loans and Burke and the two Derby lads are permanent deals. So it could be that youngster from Bayern maybe or the defensive cover in the middle Wilder talked of.

Another question I have is if we're bringing in two forwards then it means that we'll have Sharp, McGoldrick, Mousset, Burke and McBurnie plus another. Something's got to give surely, and that could only be Mousset leaving, if there is one to leave, there's no way McBurnie, Sharp or McGoldrick will go will be sold.

Burke replaces Leon Clarke. Other forward replaces robinson/zivkovic. We have the same amount as last year but they are better.

I don't think it will be Magic, because Chelsea seem to keep young players they like till 23! But, realistically, he'll do well to break into their team for a few years yet. Maybe it'll be one of those where we can sign him on loan next season also, or see how he does for us. He seems desperate to play first team football though.

We need to factor in where Billy and Dids are in relation to their careers, so we're likely to be managing their appearances down. Good Pros, tonnes of experience, won't let us down when called up, and excellent squad support. I think we could run 6 this year with Billy and Dids seeing a lot of cup time, if the younger lads perform of course.
