This is in General Blades Chat as it is an open invite to all.

For a few years, a number of us have been intermittently meeting on a Sunday morning to have a friendly, "non-competitive" game of football. It started as a way to keep in touch through the close season and carried on.

All age-ranges and abilities are welcome and the cost of the pitches are shared equally between those playing.

This week we'll be playing at Goals, Norfolk Park Road and the cost will be £2 each, most probably less if we get enough.

So, if anyone is free this coming Sunday morning and fancies a game, this is what you need to know:

Venue: Goals, Norfolk Park Road, Sheffield

Time: 10:00
Cost: Around £2 each - most probably less.
What you need: Trainers or astro-turf boots. No studs. Shinpads optional. A sense of humour.

Guests are welcome.

Please yay or nay for definite by Friday night if possible.

RSVP by replying to this thread!

Non-members can express an interest by email to [email protected]

I really thought I'd make a few. Work seems to be getting the better of me. Weekend in Blackpool though might not seem like work.

I'll let you know on Friday/Saturday. Depends on how football goes on Thursday night :)

EDIT: Infact, scrap that. Stanley Cup is on Saturday at 1am, I won't be up early on Sunday!

Looking likely to be on then :)

Any more?

Probably maybe, depends if i go out Saturday night.

Bump... come on people, you've got Monday/Tuesday to recover this week :D

Looks ok numbers wise but it's forecast rain tomorrow morning. We're not going to be puffs are we and play in the rain?

It's an all weather pitch, we've played in snow before :)

I thought this Goals place was just a 5 minute walk from the train station. Just followed the route on Google Maps - it's a right trek!
