I never quite understand why we meet opposing fans' views on incoming players with such scepticism, when the comments displayed by those fans almost identically mirror what we'd have told them about our outgoing players had they asked.

Do you think all fans have the same views about their team's players and ex-players? What would "we" have told "them" about, just for example, Montgomery, Kozluk, Henderson, Doyle, Coutts, Done...?

Correct decision to let them go... It really is no wonder we have been so bad over the last 3 seasons a good 50% of the squad was clearly just not up to scratch. They would have had the same comments after most of our games too.

Having said that I didn't mind Flynn as a player on his day he was decent.... Was never a world beater but as a utility squad player I think he could have done a job to provide cover in CM, both Wings and Right back so I wasn't opposed to him getting a new contract. (Didn't he also play upfront once too??)

Always thought Howard was a very patchy 'Keeper, sometimes you'd just see him get his confidence, and go and a run of being one of the best 'Keepers in the League, after Christmas when Clough took over springs to mind, however most of the time he looked a little scared. Biggest problem really was his massive weakness in dealing with shots from just outside the box. Been a couple of times this season when Moore as gone full length from a free kick or long range effort, and he's just realised that if it was Howard in goal, that would of gone straight in.

Ryan flynn's best period with us was during the Clough tenure. He was poor before and poor after.

Congratulations to Louis Reed ..... it was Cloughie who gave him his break as he performed with confidence (which he seems to sadly lack now) during that period.

Pathway for Youth .... It seems ages ago when Cloughie put all those youngsters out on that night against promotion chasing Rotherham.

Freeman and Coutts signed by Cloughie, criticized by many on here but now seen as key in our quest for promotion.

All these current threads have developed a pattern - maybe we got rid of Cloughie too early.
