I do wonder at the crap these modern journos write about anything. The other day some twat for the Torygraph wrote about our lack of 'battleships' !! when he really meant destroyers. The last battleship was HMS Vanguard scrapped in 1960.

The latest pearl was on the Prince's reign and about COH establishing the Blades as a PL staple again. ugh? When have we been a PL staple? The nearest we got to it was under DB with two seasons and CW/PH. Hardly a staple. Add in two solo seasons under NW and PH/CW and there you have it - 6 years out of what will be 30 this year. Fewer seasons than Birmingham, Bournemouth, Coventry, Portsmouth, Watford and Wigan. Norwich lead the way with six relegations but at four we're not that clever.

It is going to be a hell of a struggle to stay there if we get there.

But it’s all about the joy of going up. To me, being a yo-yo club ain’t too shabby…Anyone remember 6 seasons in the dog shit league?

4 under Bassett in fairness (unless you're going with the theory that nothing existed before it was renamed).

I’m certainly not expecting a huge change in fortunes under new ownership.
I may be wrong, but the only way we become a regular is if we find an owner who is willing and happy to lose some very big sums of money to do it.
And I don’t see the latest group being that ownership.

They may invest in infrastructure and some sensible spending on the squad but I don’t think it matters who the manager is there simply isn’t enough top quality talent in the academy to build a top level squad to compete in the premier league.
Reality is it’s £100m just to compete and a huge slice of luck with player fitness. After that it’s a constant improvement needed with further excess spending just to keep up.

Does anyone see that amount of money being invested?

It's not whether you are wrong or not more a case of sometimes bad things in life happen
Sometimes even the worse things happen, it's life
Sometimes life is shit

If you spend you're entire life expecting the worst and predicting nothing but bad things then you will get a lot of things right
The trick. Is trying to balance it out with the odd positive because life isn't always shit and if you can't enjoy those times or even dare to hope they exist your life is meaningless and empty
