Jesus christ is it always that bad? Thought I'd give it a listen for transfer news but deary me it's awful. The old days were a good listen though!

One pig called Matt, waffling on for about 10 minutes asking and answering his own questions so no other callers could come on and wind him up. Then a plastic Man City fan came on talking about the fa cup old games and how Wednesday can easily beat the shit of Manchester. Brown nosing cunt.

Boring hell.

Smells very much like the pitsmoor piggy plonker! They must be hurting so bad! Fear not Wendy’s you might get Connor whickham

When your team is in the premier league you are spoilt for choice with blanket coverage on sky sports news, talk sport, 606 and more. No disrespect to radio Sheffield but I don’t need football heaven anymore. Let’s leave it for fans of the teams that have nowhere else.

Quite like 606 and Robbie savage is decent especially at winding Leeds fans up

I got tired of it a long time ago. It's something to listen to a bit on the way back from a game but that's about it.

Maybe it's lack of callers but they started a long time ago making the mistake of encouraging the likes of the Pitsmoor Owl and Brian the Blade to call in all the time while cutting off anyone who made an intelligent point that might be a little too controversial. RS have always come across as terrified of covering anything that might upset a local club and lead them to cut off their access to their soft mind-numbingly stupid brand of non-questions.

Let's be fair, the biggest story they've had in donkey's years was the Ched Evans saga and they were all such flimsy shadows of "journalists" they passed the topic on to Toby Foster's breakfast show.

Some dude regularly on saying he's a Toytown fan but spends more time going on about how great the Pig fans are. Could be Pitsmoors older version. Been suspicious for quite a while.

I have had the misfortune to meet Toby Foster a few times ...and he is twat of the first order ..

I don't listen to him to care. Point is more how little backbone the Football Heaven team had to think "Here's one of the biggest football stories of the decade, best push it on to the comedian that does the morning show".

This show needs reinventing. You get the same people on every night saying the same drivel and the presenters are just garbage. Needs some zest and controversy. Right now it's like listening to knitting with mother.

I kept thinking , shut the fuck up , when the wendy fan kept going on , and on , and on , and on ,and on ...........................

Stopped listening to the nightly phone in years ago. Its been the same boring windbags ringing up every night for 20 years- Brian the Blade; Brian the Miller; Mick the angry pig, and so on and so on. All embarrassments to their own fan bases.

Years ago, the format worked because Paul Walker, Luke Wileman and Seth Bennet were not only good commentators for the games, but also good presenters who genuinely knew the South Yorkshire football scene.

Over the years, as they left, they were replaced by people who were good at one part, but not so much the other; Rob Staton is actually a very good commentator, but a thin-skinned, mardy arse and a bad host/presenter. Andy Giddings is the other way around- he’s a good host/presenter, but a shit commentator who continually gets players names wrong and seems to forget the listener cant see what he’s seeing. Buchan and McCarthy are/were very “meh” at both. Adam Oxley is better than either of those two and genuinely knows the patch.

One of the best parts of being in the PL is being able to access iffy streams for away games I’m not at, meaning I have no need for RS at all these days.

That said, Giddings is a pretty decent source for info on twitter- no big shock seeing as he has always been pretty tight with Wilder.

Listened to it once on the radio on the way home from work. After a number of mind numbing boring callers with nothing much to say, some bloke called with a song he had proudly written about his team to a well known anthem. (Can't even remember who he supported). He was then invited to wail it down the phone, he couldn't sing and it was unbelievably shit! A five year old could done better. The presenter then praised him as though he was Mozart. Never listened to it since!

I listened and In my opinion those two were the best callers. Matt the Wednesday fan could have been a Blade calling in 5 years ago when we were at our lowest ebb. He was absolutely rock bottom - he completely understood the mess they were in, and he openly admitted our success is making it worse, praised Wilder to high heaven and had nothing positive to say about Wednesday. He was eloquent and pretty much described the current football pecking order in Sheffield. He also said there was a real chance they could end up in league one soon, but he would still be turning up regardless.

Phil the Man City fan calls up occasionally and is open about his allegiance, he has also said that he attends a lot of the local clubs when he can. His point was in response to some earlier caller who had said the top six should be barred from the FA Cup, he made the perfectly valid point that being drawn against the big six is what smaller teams want from the cup. He then described the Wednesday v Man City game as a decent cup tie.

They were both on in the last 15 minutes of the show, I’m surprised that people would have been annoyed listening to those two. The rest of the show was pretty dull.

"Comedian", FFS , as funny as a leaking boil on the butt. wonder what the other clowns are paid to laugh at his boring repertoire. Radio Sheffield is great but spoiled by Toby Foster, Howie Pressman, and that screetchbag from Chesterfield, Becky measures.

That was one of the most enjoyable calls I’ve listened to on that show in years. Really hit home their level of despair – and no bullshit about us, just complete acceptance of the contrasting situations we’re in.

The first callers on Thursday and yesterday referring to us as 'the great unwashed'. Should have been cut off, but Wendy 'fans' keep this utter tripe going.

I know someone who moved out of Fir Vale after years and years after losing half the equity on his house.

He and other residents took their concerns to the Council and the bloke I know was invited to speak in front of the chamber at the Town Hall.

He called into Toby Foster to talk about the issue on one of his shows and Foster basically insinuated racism was the issue in Fir Vale.

He bumped into Foster in a pub in Harley and introduced himself. Needless to say TF shit himself and was very apologetic.

I still listen to it a few nights per week, not sure why, maybe just habit.

But one thing is for sure, Oxley is the worst of the current crop of presenters. I happen to think that the guy in the chair has to challenge opinions, and idiocracy, rather than trying to be everyone's mate. Oxley is just too soft in this regard, and that plonker Matt last night demonstrated this perfectly. There is no way either Giddings or McCarthy would have let him waffle on for so long like that and both of those regularly put callers on the spot to justify some of their more ridiculous proposals.

I know that McCarthy seems to have rubbed a few people up wrongly, including Wilder, but I rank him 2nd as a presenter from the current 3.

Oxley just edges him as a commentator though.

Local radio is for small clubs.
