I'll be going - taking a couple of Miller mates down to even numbers up a bit.

I hope it's in a lecture theatre again rather than the hall they used one year, it was much better.

Quite interesting tonight. For those that didn't go or listen:

All managers agreed that the Prem clubs will leave it as late as possible to name their 25 and that some very good players will be sitting around. Seasoned pros rather than developmental youngsters will need a home in the form of a six month loan or face not being able to play. Quite how this might be done, or funded, is something that will only be known as the month progresses.

A couple of examples were given (no names) where certain demands were being made by agents in May/June only to be seriously revised downwards around now due to all clubs cutting squad size and wages they are willing to spend. It seems clubs are sitting tight and waiting for players to accept an offer rather than being beaten upwards.

Irvine seemed to be warning of a tough season ahead and cited only 2 of 15 relegated clubs have gone straight back up (Norwich and Leicester)

Blackwell made a comment in the direction of SO'D when they were asked which player from any of the clubs there would they like to sign. "Well you know who i want" Which i would be interested to know.

Blackie also went on a bit of a rant about style basically citing the changing personnel for disjointed playing styles. He said hopefully things would be a bit more different this year with Britton being a part of a change in style.

I would have liked to have asked who each manager saw as the biggest threat in terms of dominating their respective leagues but missed the opportunity.

Interesting, The SO'D comment is intriguing I've always liked that Dean Shiels but I would imagine its over a defender if at all anyone- least we know it isn't Sharp...
I see his point over style of play, no doubt changing personnel was a significant factor although Blackwell himself isn't completely blameless as I would hope even he would acknowledge.
Think, in terms of the Championship, this could be the most interesting deadline-day for some time and hopefully we'll see some spoils ourselves.
I particularly liked that fact Irvine dropped.
Any other nuggets emerge or was that it by en large?
