National League fixtures will go ahead from Monday after football paused as a mark of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

All English, Welsh and Northern Irish football and senior Scottish football was postponed over the weekend.
Midweek English Football League fixtures are expected to go ahead, but the EFL is yet to issue a statement.

If we’re going to mourn and show our respects properly we need to be cancelling all sport and declaring national holidays until after the funeral.

DIY stores closed and the only places open should be hospitality to allow friends and families to gather to mourn and say farewell to the queen through the medium of pints

And let’s invade France too, I’m sure that’s what ma’am would’ve wanted

Barely even noticed it'd been called off really.

Easiest weekend ever.

good news to be back & tuesday will be very interesting because it will answer the question of whether EFL were right or wrong in their decision to not trust us on saturday. I'll admit im dreading the minute silence. because i worry EFL took the unpopular but correct decision

Doing it through the medium of pints is the decent, nay right thing to do.
Farewell with a respectful 21 pint salute.
Sharting our pants and passing out in a puddle of our own piss.
It's what she would have wanted. God bless you ma'am...

I'd bet my house on these scruffy fuckers booing all the way through the minutes silence

Some will boo but is there any difference in them booing on Tuesday and not on Saturday? Genuine question. Was it just too soon?

certainly, saturday wouldve been too soon but EFL would prefer that nobody boos, like crowds at the golf, cricket & the rugby league. but fans may surprise us, but i dread football will unfortunately keep their reputation as the black sheep of the sporting family

Given the number of English WFH but living in France I think the invasion is already underway
