I didn't say he was a very good manager. I said he was a good one, and I meant for us, not for his whole career (though I wasn't clear on that). I still think that is true.

And the football in his second season was tedious. Hardly surprising given that all of our good offensive players had been sold (and you were hopping mad about the last sale, I recall), not re-signed or were in jail.

I think we just about agree on this. The sale of Blackman by McCabe, our only goal source, was stupidity / desperation at its' highest.
