I only just shifted a light induced migraine from catching the sun's glare on monday, then I ended up sat in front of Sirius A for 2 hours.

I'm not entirely sure how I can narrow my peripheral vision.

The shaven heads of the Kop dwellers infesting the South didn't help with the glare.......

They’re all directed at an individual particular area of the pitch, we can’t change it or you’d have light and dark patches. It’s just the sight lines of the ground, we’ve got away with just one set on the roof until this year when we now have to fit in with premier league rules.

However they are LED and can be turned down so should we ever get relegated then that would happen. So what would you prefer, premier league football or dimmer lights?

They will have to do something otherwise they will be getting claims for damages ! Might sound extreme but people put in claims for all sorts of things today.
They did interfere with my enjoyment of the game.

PL advertising costs more so advertisers wish them to be more prominent.

On a plus note when the International Space Station is passing the astronauts will be able to say look at BDTBL.

I was sat in the middle of the family stand, nine rows from the front.

I noticed it and commented as it was getting darker, but it didn't really bother me and I stopped noticing them after about thirty seconds.

I know this has been mentioned on the match thread, but this deserves a thread of its own.

The view from the John Street Stand was utterly spoilt by the new floodlights. Everyone around me said the same. Just too bright. Too dazzling. Too much. They are not adjusted correctly. The angle is wrong. My head hurts.

According to Linz the Tony Currie Stand had the same problem.

This needs addressing immediately.

They're bright even in daylight (v Palace & Leicester)... Just don't look directly at them.

I sent a letter to Andrew Udall, who is Head of Operations at SUFC. I pointed out that the floodlights were spoiling the view for many spectators at last night's match.
He's replied, "Sheffield United is aware that some supporters inside Bramall Lane at the Carabao Cup fixture struggled to adjust to the new floodlight system. The club needed to improve the floodlights to be compliant with the new league and employed the company recommended by the Premier League.
The installation of the floodlights was only completed earlier this month and there is further need for testing so that final adjustments can be made. The break in home fixtures now means the floodlight company can continue their work to ensure that the lights operate at an optimum level with the minimum disruption to supporters going forward."

Agree they are very bright but perhaps don't sit staring at them, they make it far brighter to see game.

im sat 3 rows from the front in family stand. right in front of 1 of those. i thought at the time 28/30c im roasting. what i need know is bonfire in front of me. but im not complaining because im going to be very grateful come Burnley in november

on floodlights. seems my reactions lense might get confused then.

The retina searing headlights they fit to cars these days are far more distracting than our new floodlights. Get an Audi or a Range Rover in your sight line and you can't see a fucking thing.

I had the same issue for the Palace game (sitting in John Street). It gave me a proper headache. For the Leicester game, I took sunglasses and a cap, and it seemed better. I’ll look a right wazzock with sunnies on in the middle of January though.

It’s been some time since I’ve heard the word wazzock!
