Flood Lights

I know it’s a bit of a strange observation but last night the lighting in the ground seemed very dingey , I know we had to upgrade ours to meet Premier League regs but there is definitely a noticeable difference.. either that or I’d got the wrong lenses in my beer goggles ?
The lights at the lane now are so bright, so i guess Championship grounds will seem darker

Came across a Tuesday night Luton game a couple of weeks ago, was like they were playing with the lights off.

We upgraded our lights so we could have a light show and blind our fans incase the standard of football ever goes to shit.

It was commented on when we had our 1st night match at home to Sunderland in the cup.
The new floodlights at the Lane had to be upgraded for the PL and were so bright...it was overpowering.
It’s seems we’ve all adjusted because now the bright lighting at the Lane seems normal......not surprised to hear that EFL lighting seems dull.

I thought the same and thought something was wrong with my eyes or more likely they hadnt fully powered up the lights

I used to think that about the lane before we upgraded. Always looked quite dark on tv and with a yellowy orange hue (and made the turf look quite dark)
Other end of the spectrum now though - blindingly bright

The pitch was a pile of bobbly sh*t too.
No wonder nobody could control the ball.
Wilder called it "lively".

How the ferk do you expect the pigs to hide all the rust from the TV cameras last night, there was enough shite on the pitch last night, that's why they were so dim, that turd on center spot was mom.
Hope that answers the question.

Even in the middle of the day Hillsborough seems dank, drab, cavernous and depressing.

Old flaking blue paint, tarpaulin, grimy corrugated iron and plastic pockmarked with holes and the outlines of signage which has long since tumbled to the floor, flickering strobe lights, damp concrete and a ghostly, long condemned corner used as the final resting place for bits of old goal post.

18,000 souls in their Pokemon hoodies, with ill fitting 'Sanderson' emblazoned replica shirts pulled over the top, rattling around in a stadium which could once, many years ago, hold double that amount, although it never did.

A sad and haunting sight like an abandoned hospital or the crumbling shell of an all inclusive hotel in Benidorm left unfinished because the developer went bankrupt.

It still says PRESTO TOOLS on the away end roof lol

They’ve been using gas lamps for years at the scrap yard
