Won 4 on the bounce, on a decent unbeaten run. They will fancy a go at us right now, important we make a statement and get a good win, Scunny and Bolton are building the games in hand on us, lets give them something to chase.

A similar record to Southend when we went there ;)

This is the sort of game promoted teams win, might be just what we need, a game against a promotion rival.

they scored in the last minute on saturday against an ever fading Coventry in a game described as diabolical
with what we have we should not worry unduly
show a bit of respect and then crush them

I can only see a return to form

Despite their form and recent results, I expect this to be no different from many of the other home games this season. We'll dominate the ball, they'll defend and unless we either score early or if we defend badly, it's going to be another nail-biting and frustrating evening.

We'd won six on the bounce before losing to Walsall. After Wilder's rant at the team I hope they come out right at Fleetwood and blow them away.

its always the same , as soon as we arent winning every single game , theres people rushing to the lifeboats fully fitted with life jackets prepared to jump ship at the first opportunity
all is lost , save yourselves we are doomed

its quite funny really
get a fucking grip

hope the players have a modicum of reason in their thinking

did anyone tell oxford , rochdale had won 10 home games on the bounce and they should be shitting themselves
so fleetwood winning 4 isnt worth losing sleep over

There we go again!!!!!!!

all teams that have ever won automatic promotion , have lost games and drawn a few during a season

we are no different , yet we have this lemming setting amongst some of our fans, its bemusing

quite amazingly Bolton have lost recently and scunthorpe have,
will they collapse as easily as some of our fans think we can

Sounds like our game at Coventry!

Fleetwood play some decent stuff but don't appear to be scoring much, then again if we defend like we did on Saturday they will no doubt bag a hatful. They will definitely go on the attack because a couple more wins could see them in the mix for the auto spots.

I just hope the bollocking from Saturday has registered.

I think it's possibly the worst time to play Fleetwood, Uwe Rosler is the manager who prepares most meticulously for fixtures in this division, he will have scouted us for weeks and noted where to get at us.

Although to be honest Stevie Wonder could have pointed out where the weaknesses were if he had scouted the last two games.

Included in those 4 wins is three 1-0 against the bottom 3 teams, hardly frightening. They will probably "park the bus" and hope for 1 on the break just like 95% of visiting teams.
If Gills keeper hadn`t had a brilliant day Blades would have won easily, come on we will be promoted ffs.

We have a less than flattering record against Fleetwood, having only won once in 6 meetings. If we win I think the paradigm will well and truly have shifted. Our mojo will be back!!:)

Going for the devils advocate approach here, if our defence actually defended we would have won easily.

Our defence restricted Gillingham to 2 shots on target and 1 corner.
I'll be happy with that stat every game. Means we'll finish top.

Agree with a previous poster their manager will have some tactics to try to tackle us.
They don't score much but don't concede either.
They have only conceded 1 goal in their last 5 league matches.
Their tactics will be to keep it at 0-0 for most of the game then try to sneak a late 1-0 win.

One other point is that although they are on a great run, they've had a sequence of fixtures against all the teams near the bottom and still only won many of them 1-0.

Not lost in the league since November 12th.

So - Time for us to step up. Are we real top 2 contenders or not?

We need to cruelly trample all over Fleetwood's dreams. Bastards that we are.

True, but it's the 2 goals from 2 shots that worries me.

I know it's not a good stat is it, normally you might say it's just bad luck
But it's happened in other matches too where we've totally dominated with the oppostion rarely attacking but we still conceded, like Walsall at home, they rarely got out of their own half that night.

Wilder made a great comment yesterday by saying you can't blame it on bad luck.
I think because we dominate so much, then the players and fans think it's all over.
At half time 1-0 I was very confident we'd beat Gillingham because they offered nothing.
Think some of players think we've already cracked it, so they lose comcentration due to being over confident.

Let's see how they react Tuesday night.

Hopefully we won't be as complacent as the away game at Fleetwood. We looked the better side then fell behind to a sloppy goal. A repeat of EEL's last minute goal would be welcome, but not his first half mistake.
