Really shocking to see on tv, let alone being in the ground to witness this. Wishing Flecky well.
What is really miffing me though is those people (Le Tissier in particular) trying to use this for their agenda that covid vaccines are causing this. Without any information of what has just happened. Taking advantage to push your agenda when a lad is laying on the pitch is just wank.
Really WTF? Some people

I posted Flecky's health was more important than the result, some in the shoutbox didn't agree that's all. They know who they are and really should take a long hard look at themselves this morning.
The incident took the shine off the win for me a bit like when we won at Burton but lost the services of Coutts. Get well soon Flecky.
You didn’t - you said the result didn’t matter. I and some others said it did. Of course Fleck’s health is more important than the result but I certainly didn’t see anyone dispute that.

I'd be interested to see a clip of the build-up to what happened - the disorientation etc. don't need to see the aftermath, that was bad enough live.

Bergen Blade - don't you rewatch all the games?

I can't post it on here as it was sent to me by Whatsapp & currently on PC but the TV footage shows him looking round and turning around on the spot when the ball/other players are nowhere near him just before the shot pans to us attacking up the other end.

Last night's incident was on the far side of the pitch to where the Blades fans where gathered but it soon became clear he was in trouble.

Respect and gratitude to the medical teams of both the Blades and Reading - you are worth your weight in gold. Respect also to the opposition fans for their response and I like to think we would do the same had the situation been reversed.

All the best John.

Yeah Ok fella, hope you have had a long hard look at yourself this morning no football result is more important than someone's health.
When a bloke is lying on the floor in trouble the result don't matter much to me you may think the result does matter that says it all about you as far as I'm concerned.

No, I watch them live if I can, rewatch if I'm working. The camera showed play in Reading's half (think we cleared it long), then I heard the crowd noise and then saw the referee sprinting back to our half while waving for the medical people. When the camera focused on Fleck he was lying down, with straight legs shaking. SUTV then turned the camera off.

Like some others I spotted what I thought was number 6 at the back of his shorts, so I thought it was Basham. The 6 was in reality a b, the logo of bartercard.

I agree with what you're saying on the grand scheme of things. Health/Life > everything else... However, the United players clearly thought it mattered, otherwise they would be (in their right??) to refuse to carry on playing.

Or...

are players too scared to walk off the pitch when these things happen? Fear of the consequences?? If so, that is something that all the Footballing Bodies need to address. As an example - UEFA made Denmark play the game again the day after. I know that is a tournament so the schedule is tighter, but it did seem a bit harsh

Wtf are you on about? Trying to take the moral high ground by talking shit. Fella.

What happened last last night was sickening and terrible to see I’ll put my hand up to criticising him over the past year could there be some underlying health problems relating to this, don’t know?
Anyway speedy recovery John Fleck

A time to sit-up and think when we are calling our players, yes our players all the names under the sun.

Constructive criticism only from now please
Agree 100%

Missed the match so logged onto this Forum to catch up. First thread is "Flecky" - I started reading it, but got so angry with the abuse, I thought "I'm sick of this Forum", closed the thread and went to bed. Didn't find out about this until this morning.
Our players are running themselves to the point of collapse to get results.

Nobody ever call them cowards again.

The sky coverage seemed very 'pre-Eriksen' in terms of what the commentators were saying and how the cameras were panning.

Just before the coverage cut off at the end of the broadcast one of the commentators wished Fleck all the best with his recovery from his 'injury' which isn't a word I'd have used to describe the situation.
United were very good the feed was cut as soon as it panned to fleck on the ground they just put the screensaver on and kept the audio.

Handsworth blades posted on fb he is sat up this morning and in good spirits, let's hope so

He hasn't been 100% at it since he got injured with Scotland. Maybe he has some underlying health issues from that and COVID? We will see.

Hope Flecky gets well soon!

The 'best rated' comments on this article make me really sad. Linking every thing that happens to a vaccine.

Definite shout out to Reading and their players/fans. They've joined my list of 'soft spot' teams (until they next beat us)

We also seem to do well against them too ,since they left Elm Park anyway ,had a few crap visits there.

Wouldn’t be too surprised. it’s an echo chamber for societies losers and paid bots.

How have I got this awful feeling someone is going to say something really crass about Flecky...If they haven’t already?
