He's come in for stick recently, most of it fair. But today I felt like he was more like his usual self, driving with the ball when we needed and getting stuck in. Example being the tackle he made in the build up to Steven's goals. Hoping this is the start of an upturn in form at a key part of the season!

The whole midfield was better than last week by a million miles.

From the sending off point through they could do pretty much what they liked though as Forest were gash.

I thought he was ok, good in patches, anonymous in others. Pretty much sums up his season.

Thought he was ok. Thought Duffy was off it again, bar the goal.

Maybe it expecatations.

3pt swing is what matters. On to Monday.

C'mon Blades. 3 more wins.

I agree about Duff as well. Great and invaluable goal of course but he and Fleck have definitely dropped their standards. Both are sloppy on the ball and wasteful in possession.

Quite how Duff got MoM ahead of Didsy, Pele only knows!

They seem to be suffering from the same confidence issue. They always want to take an extra touch which either slows the momentum or kills the chance as the space has gone. To me we seem frightened to lose the ball as we could be countered, rather than seeing we could break them down and kill the game off.
The reasons we end up dropping so deep when we go a goal up is our fullbacks and (overlapping) centre halves sit in, removing any width we have and making it too busy in the centre of midfield. Our midfield drops and then we’re defending our 18 yard line with no outball which doesn’t come straight back.
Dids was MOTM today by an absolute mile.

Though at the same time all look liable to suddenly pass to an opponent 5 yards away. Think Duffy did this first half today, then made a bit of a woeful attempt to retrieve the ball before Forest eventually got a shot away. Norwood seems to be averaging about one of these a game on recent form, though to be fair to him did get back an retrieve it on one of those occasions first half.

I thought Fleck was better today than he has been for a few games in fact probably our best midfielder today but Duffy claims that for the goal, MOM McGoldrick by a mile. I did see a few shades of the Millwall game creep into our play late on, Why bring everyone back to defend corners against 10 men surely better to leave Hogan upfield so forest have to leave two defenders out of our penalty box a fuckin Robson tactic that I hate it leads to more pressure on the defence when there is no out ball.

Enda Stevens - MOTM for me.
He is our most improved player this season, and looks like a Premiership player already. Quality on the ball and quality off the ball.
Scoring goals now too.

Our most valuable asset in my opinion, another superb game today and unbelievably not even on the list of nominees for MOM?

I thought he was awful against Birmingham but has been better last 2. Not quite grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck but doing it in little patches. Hopefully he can keep improving over these final 3 games

Got to disagree, I thought he was immense!

Duffy had a twenty minute spell, including the goal, where he was at his very best. Beforehand he was average, but in hindsight, who cares?

I thought he was poor again today, and way short of what we've seen from him. Hey ho! Opinions and arseholes.

Fleck was poor. I barely noticed him. When I did notice him, it was because he’d done something wrong.

Can’t knock Duffy too much. He delivered something when it mattered and that’s all that we ask of him. He made the difference.

Norwood wasn’t great today either. He’s not doing enough at the moment. He’s got so much ability but he needs to drive, lead and be braver.

Our best players today - Stevens, Stearman & motm (by a distance) McGoldrick. Didsy was outstanding and has been our best player for a few games now.

Most of his best work is when we don’t have possession. Wouldn’t expect you to see that though.

There’s very little to see. Opponents leave him standing. It must be that number 4 shirt.

I’m afraid you see what you want to see rather than what’s actually happening.

I felt he was a 6/10, maybe a 7 for that crunching and assist making tackle for Stevens goal. He’s still nowhere near last years level but a bit better than recent showings.

Could be with Sharp out he's got to pick up the slack in the work Billy produces at the top end of midfield

Yes, Fleck much better today, but how did Duffy get motm ?
He scored a screamer and set up the second.
I would have voted Enda or McGoldrick but it's not impossible to see.
Plus, as my dad said... its voted predominantly by kids now on their phones.

Well Pele wasn't that great yesterday and ended up being substituted :)
