Just another appreciation thread for him I suppose...

It's a joy to watch him do what he does week in, week out.

He's a class act and certainly what I'd call a 'proper footballer'. He's a technician, he's tough, he's consistent. He'll deal with any conditions and just play as he always does. As a fan you can always relax when he's on the ball.

He's been consistently good for a while now and was again today, second half especially. It's great watching him bossing the game away at decent Championship teams while opponents hopelessly try to dispossess him.

We're very lucky to have him and getting him on that long term contract is one of the highlights of the season.

I like it when he has a run beats 3 players and gets a shot on target, sooner or later these will start to go in.

That one at the end really deserved to be our winner. It would've been fitting. Well, it should have been for 3-1 because we should've already been 2-1 up through Donaldson.

Goalscoring is the one thing Fleck needs to add to his game. But I can certainly forgive him if he only manages 2 a season.

Must wonder why he bothers with the glacierlike movement in front of him

So often in recent away games he's had the freedom of the pitch and space to run into only for us not to capitalise. It's disappointing because you know he'll nearly always find the pass. But the strikers limit us. With more pace and trickery ahead of him in these situations we'd pick teams off.

Thought it was interesting today that he checked himself a few times rather than risking a foul. Seems either he’s conscious of another ban or has been told to avoid bookings because we can’t afford to be without him

But Coventry fans said he was shit. Just shows the best thing in Coventry is the road out of there.

If ever a player characterises what Wilder wants, it's Fleck.

A bit of a throwback player too - doesn't have a dickhead manbun or pink boots, doesn't have a gobby attitude on the pitch and doesnt throw himself about if someone lands one on him.

A technically gifted, honest, hard little b*****d.

Isn’t this the same Fleck that Pinchy said was shit bought by the No good BladeyBlade manager Wilder? That Pinchy must be the fountain of all knowledge

Reminds me of the Werewolf Hockey, gives it, teks it an getsonweeit all while bossing the middle of the Park!

Scotland must have some fucking side for him not even to be in the squad!!

Disagree with the chap who claims he's better than Coutts, but that aside, I can't wait to see them back in tandem next season!!

Alas, I fear we may never see this fantastic duo pull on the shirt together ever again. Shame.

Would be gobsmacked if Fleck stays to be perfectly honest.

He's my player of the season too. He's the heartbeat of the team, he's the driving force, he's our best player.

I know Brown had his 20 goal season but Fleck's the best midfielder I've seen for us. Certainly my favourite.

We better keep him. As long as he's together with Coutts again next season we'll be a good team.

Their central midfield is probably their strongest area to be fair. Cairney, McGinn, McDonald and now McTominay. Still think Fleck deserves to be in the squad though.

Roy Hodgson was at our match yesterday. Not sure who he was there scouting but i know which player will have caught his eye the most :(

If we do lose Fleck we have to try and sign John McGinn.

Linchpin of the midfield , links the others in around him , always shows for the ball & has a good range of passing ,likes a tackle and willing to carry the ball when irs needed ... put simply a class act .. and an example of how to play in the middle of the park
