must, must be replaced although the bloke we brought in, Hourahane, is even worse.

Have a look what he had available today when he got the ball, and especially after around 55 minutes.

Not saying he's the answer, but rather than passing sideways or backwards, I'd have probably smashed it out of play in a protest flounce.

It's easier to hide than it is to show for the ball continuously when you are the single out ball the team has.

danny Wilson and Sid Cowans were wonderful examples of older pros who just sat in the centre circle to receive the ball and then influence it by moving the ball on

I thought Fleck had a good game today, as did Stevens, Davies and Gibbs-White.

Norwood was shite, but Baldock and Ndiaye were worse than him.

I was losing my shit watching Baldock refusing to cross the ball everytime he was out wide past his marker. Four times in the first half he had him beat out wide and it was crying out for an early cross. Instead he either passed it backwards or invited the defender to challenge him and lost the ball. He spent the match constantly having a go at Norwood for bad passes to him when the useless twat was ineffective himself. Baldock is massively over rated and shit. Several times Husband was free down the wing waiting for a pass and others had to yell at Baldock for him to become aware of this. He's bollocks and the most infuriating player we have.

Norwood was poor today, that's true - a lot poorer than he's been for a few weeks . However , he is one of the few players , (DM the other) who can actually pass. There were times in the 2nd half when there was absolutely no one moving into space for him to pass to , no one .

Slav is persisting with playing a formation when he doesn't have the players to play that way. Stevens and Baldock look far more comfortable and effective as wing backs - as full backs they are so limited . Slav doesn't have the wingers he needs so we are always making do with Osborne (who is doing his best) and ANO . This has a knock on to all the rest IMO - this includes Fleck and Norowwd

The whole set up and side is out of sync and they have a soft underbelly - they dont look confident or comfortable. At least Norwood doesn't hide - He was the first player down the tunnel as well.

The one thing in Norwood’s defence today was that he didn’t hide.

He can’t tackle and some of passing was shit. But Fleck just picked one of their players to hide behind for most of the game.

He is the quarter back and will receive the ball deep . He does try to move it forward but the movement was terrible today .

100% agree with that one. Woeful. That said the 2 centre halves are also the weakest I have seen. Get bullied every week. Spine needs ripping out.

You can't play two CMs who are weak defensively in front of two CBs who are more suited to a back three.

It either has to be three at the back, or a strong defensive midfielder.

Norwood and Fleck have been terrible since the post Covid re start. Before that, Fleck scored a spectacular volley against Arsenal and Norwood was pinging balls around for fun and deservedly earning plaudits. However, It is now time they were both moved on. They have both been brilliant servants to the club down the years, but they have both become stale and completely ineffective. Norwood crumbles under the slightest of pressure and gives the ball away. Fleck runs into trouble and gives the ball away constantly.

They were fabulous for us in seasons gone by, but they need to go.

I thought Norwood was ok first half. I actually thought Madine would have much more of an impact than he did to be honest.

Norwood was good first half and his delivery of the corners were a million times better. Fleck might as well not have played, he just went missing.

We need to upgrade on both if we want to challenge for promotion.

Completely agree on Baldock being overrated, I’ve thought it for quite a while now. Why he can’t cross a ball or have the confidence to do it is appalling for a professional footballer.

Not read anywhere anyone saying Blackpool did a job on us, because I reckon they did. Their Coaching team got it spot on, us depending on flicks, tricks and hopeful passes within the box was easy meat for them.

Norwood slows us down too much but what is the alternative. We saw against Millwall that it's not Hourihane. At least he doesn't hide. There were a number who were worse today.

Big JTW coming up for Slav. We need a real clear out. Most have been great for the Blades but all things come to an end.

Problem is there are no real alternatives at the moment. All the other options are even worse so not sure what we do short term. At least Norwood does not hide but the problem is he only goes sideways or back so as Sandygate said just slows us down. Fleck occasionally shows glimpses but tends to hide are not be involved 75% of the time. Berge can offer some qualities but will not stop teams walking through us. No idea about the Algerian guy but he doesn't appear to be even in the picture for some reason. For this reason we are probably going to continue to need to score 2 or 3 to have a realistic chance of 3 points.
