cool, sort of makes up for when I saw Van Helen at the Arena and Sammy Hagar wore a pig shirt for the encore.

I couldn't get footage as my phone died, but it was absolutely awesome, the guy is a legend!

How did the pigs in the crowd take it?
There was a bit of booing but I think he caught people by surprise. Just in between songs he first shouted go on Blades. Then arms outstretched belted out " you fill up my senses" it was the business. My wife who favours the pigs was just shaking her head in disbelief. There was enough people with camera phones out so somebody must have caught it. Was a great night made even better by Flea.

Someone must have some footage of this? Cant find any anywhere

My mate once saw arch-bellend Pete Doherty play somewhere like the Boardwalk, and he sang the Greasy Chip Butty song, with the proper Blades words and everything. I think he used to edit the QPR fanzine, which is probably why he knew it. Why he sang it however, I have no idea.

I seem to remember that. I think it was at the Plug. Sure there was a video knocking about on YouTube.

I was there. It was at The Plug, May 2006.

I have no idea why he did it, just that it was immense. As was the gig - one of the best I've ever been to.

For the record, he sang Magnet.

Yeah a few boos could be heard from the porcine lot, but as you say, the surprise element of it was brilliant. My girlfriend (a neutral that follows Norwich, but is slowly being converted) thought it was great, I'd only told her in the car on the way up the story of Flea being a blade and she didn't really believe me, at least he confirmed it!

I thought Flea was excellent, really plays to the crowd and I thought the new lad who's taken over from Frusciante was pretty decent as well.
