Club Championship day at Hallamshire on the 17th August ... 36 holes. Now I can play!

18 hole Club Championship on the Sunday. 8am tee off. Done by 12 noon. Then down to BDTBL.

Seems like a perfect weekend ruined by a shit ton of fucking golf to me

Happily by the way... it appears we have missed "student moving back weekend" as intro week is the week following our away game at Everton.

Do be warned that the stragglers may still be rocking up when we play Liverpool though as teaching doesn't begin until the week after.

Weirdly, and I know this is something I should probably have just kept to myself, I'm happy with the Crystal Palace game being moved because it means I won't be able to go!

I'd already booked a short weekend in the UK to stay in Derbyshire and once the fixture list came out, it was a hard sell to the wife to convince her that the only full day we have in the beautiful peak district should actually be spent at (the for me equally beautiful) Downtown Bramall Lane. Plus it saves me having to be arsed to try and get tickets.

Should I be ashamed?

Definitely. First PL game at the Lane in 12 years. The return of Jags. Can Billy get his first-ever PL goal? Luke Freeman. Possibly Maupay/McBurnie. Full house (less you ).

The Peak District will still be there the week after.
