Remember when we used to be fitter than almost every club we played against, scoring late goals and defending leads?

We've looked so unfit, slow, languid and tired for years now. Several of our players seem to struggle to put in 90 minutes.

If Wilder has any ambition to play this high pressing game we've managed for about 45 minutes so far this season then this needs addressing urgently.

It's as much mental as physical. Put these fookers out against premiership opposition under no pressure and watch them run till they drop.

We have struggled to last the pace in all the games I have seen really and so many players have faded but it is more than just fitness; we have slow, unathletiic types which means it may be as much about that as the fitness levels. We just have no pace and appear languid as most of the players are!

Getting the players really fit is one of a long list of things Wilder said he would do but hasn't.

Got to agree 100%,the last 15 mins against crewe in cup (with wilders strongest 11)was so obvious, but we look lethargic in latter stages of games this term.
I think our billy doesn't look as fit as he should?!?

Could do worse than offering a wad of cash to Toni Minichello and get him to pull together a proper training regime so these guys can get in shape!
