Deano £20m - best young keeper in the land

Bash £10m - 5 years younger and better feet would be a lot higher
Egan £40m - Bargain if Maguire is £70m
JOC £50m - Best raiding/solid CB in the world (Southgate is a clueless peasant)

Baldock £25m - If he could finish he'd be the best wing back on the planet
Enda £40m - Just wow

Norwood £25m - As good as any playmaker ive seen so far this season
Lundstram £15m (rising every game) - box to box play being picked up by the media now, how far will his stock rise?
Fleck £20m - Gets better by the game, natural at this level and like Lunny stock is only going to rise

Moose £50m - Gives defenders nightmares and is improving game by game, complete forward
Didzy £1 billion - Pure gold

Now provide list of cost spent and average ROI overall (also I think you have Moose a little too high currently although do think he has potential to be worth that in the future if carries on)

Completely agree, okay maybe didzy is a pound or two too high😀. I’ve mentioned on other posts that the price of our players will have risen dramatically due to our premier league status and current position in the league. It’s almost like we refuse to believe it, because we are little old Sheff united who don’t really belong at the top table.

Players worth 5 million in the championship are suddenly worth multiple times that as premier league players. Fact.

But we signed enda, flecks on free transfers from lower league teams so how can they possibly be worth that much? Well they are.

You try enquiring about any first team regular in any side in the top half of the premier league and see what price you are quoted. Well actually that’s us now so it’s our turn to have players worth mind blowing amounts of money

Why put a value on something you don't want to part with?

It would cost a similar amount to replace them, so all you would achieve is a huge learning curve for the replacements.

I know. I'm being pedantic just for the hell of it. :)

What is the value of Wilder, Knill and the rest of the coaching staff?

Without them, our first team is probably worth next to nowt!

I suppose the true value of these players is what someone is willing to pay for them and hopefully we're not looking to sell any of them. The bigger question is, what will we have to spend to improve the squad? If we look at what these have cost us, it's next to nowt! £10M for Moose looks like a snip, but that would have been an extortionate amount of money just a few years ago.

Moose cost Bournemouth around £6M when they signed him in 2016. I think we'd have to spend 3 or 4 times that now to find a player of similar ability on the continent. And I use Moose as an example because I think that's where we need to strengthen most, up front. So, it's not going to be cheap to add to the squad in Jan, if we want to add quality.

Having said that, I've no doubt Wilder is capable of finding some players from within these shores who, for whatever reason, have dropped off people's radar, maybe because they've not been playing regularly for one reason or another. There are some good players in the Championship and League 1 no doubt, but, I do think we need to raise the bar in terms of the type of player that we are looking to recruit now. We are not in the top 5 of the Premier League by fluke, but if we want to stay there and even improve on it, then adding some additional quality would make a lot of sense - and if it does result in a top 6 finish then potentially the rewards it could bring would offset a lot of those costs.

It will be interesting to see if Wilder decides to "twist or stick" with some of the players he's given a chance to. Particularly those who haven't lived up to their promise so far. I think there'll be quite a bit of movement out of the club in Jan, to make way for more incoming.

Reading through your list I thought you were over exaggerating until I saw Didzy's valuation. Then I knew you were serious :p

I'll give you halves on a carton of Kia-Ora and a packet of opal fruits, for the lot.

Who in the top two divisions would pay £10mill for Bash ?
I reckon we would get more for Egan than JOC.
I think Fleck is worth a lot more than Norwood who you have overpriced at £25 mill
Moose £50mill ? Really?

Listen, hardly any of these players are good enough to even get into most championship teams. Think Wigan ;)

Not a patch on Fletcher, Bannon ,westwood and pleuresy

Just IMO, as it stands today. If we maintain our performance throughout the season and finish half way up the league then these might look a little conservative.

Henderson £20m, agreed.

Basham £3m
Egan £25m (I think he's caught the eye more the JOC so far)
JOC £20m (If JOC gets an England call up add another £10m)

Baldock £10m
Enda £10m (being that bit older than George makes his market value about the same at the moment I reckon)

Norwood £6/7m
Lundstram £20m (as with JOC, I think he has a real chance of a call up if he keeps this up)
Fleck £15m

Moose £20m (though if he maintains his current form throughout the season, it could be £30m+)
Dizy £3m

If Harry Maguire is worth £85 million then John Egan and JOC have got to be worth £100 million plus. There’s one player in the Premier league that would probably get in our defence at the moment and that’s Van Dijk maybe in place of Bash.

And at the risk of sounding like a broken record you’ve summed it up perfectly. Maguire is no where near 80 mill but that was the asking price for a mid twenties top premier league centre half. Yet we will value Egan and o’Connell atbabout quarter of that. Bollox

Sorry I stand corrected. Silly me
What we all have to remember is that North Korea won the last world cup final 99-0. And that was only cause the great leader decided to have mercy on the opposition.

Meanwhile in S6 an average championship team still is packed full of better players than a side currently in the Premier league top 5

I know it frustrates me to hell to the extent that I don’t sleep at night. I only wish that big Dave would sign for us. Come on wilder you know it makes sense

Although everything is coming up rose's at the moment and I am loving it. Mid table Leicester were offered stupid money and sold. So will we and as said above it will take time for others to settle in. In the mean time fuck it, enjoy it and at least we ain't Wednesday.
