were embarrassing. It was like watching a Premier League team play at home to a non league team who are just there for the day out. We literally let them have a training session.

How we're only one down is an early Christmas miracle.

Dont forget, it is not Wilder's fault

Some of the posters on here like to exagerrate...in order to make their point more valid.

However I must say to the doom mongerers.....this time the level of criticism is valid.
I felt emberassed watching that 1st half...it was so clear we didn’t belong on the same pitch.
I bet the subs are hoping they aren’t given a game.

The only positive is surely we can’t be as poor second half....wouldn’t surprise me if the Southampton players switch off...it was so easy...they might try to coast through the 2nd half.....if we can up the desire and tempo we can shock them.

The problem is too many of the players are in “out of possession” mode.
‘When we get the ball we stop running as though we don’t know what to do.

It was slightly better after 25 minutes. We at least pressed them high and got into their bopx a few times. But that 25 minutes was bad.

I feel sorry for the commentators who have a job of trying to make it sound interesting.
