Arrived this morning (#22). Great piece of work! I was always a bit tasty with the brushes and, at school, my Art & Architecture teacher (Peter Owen Jones) urged me to go to an open evening at Psalter Lane Art College. He told me to go on a 2 year course and I'd emerge as an Art Teacher. I took my parents along and, because the artwork on the walls wasn't the standard 'cow stood in the middle of a field', my dad said it was 'A waste of bluddy council tax-payers money'. So advised, I didn't proceed with a career in art. A year later, when I was sweeping the floors at Laycocks, I really thanked him!

cheers grafikhaus a similar thing happened with me,i ended up making furniture but then 10 years later i was asked to do visuals for fitted furniture and they were really popular and increased sales massively,one thing led to another and hey presto i am now a skint artist
