:D this did put a smile on my face this morning and i don't mean spain resting there there goal keeper or the race meetings :D

But to put a damper on it, it has been reported that the stadium will be used for Football in the Winter, the owners will change the structure to accommodate football, and charge a selected tenant £2M per year. That team more than likely will be Shammers, £2M sounds a lot but they were going to have to spend £100M, to convert it to a football stadium, so all in all it might work out better for them. Bloody crying shame if it does

I smiled when I heard as well.
Karren Brady still thinks they will try to lease it.
I'd rather own a ground than lease one I think though.

But then again it's Wet Spam so Feck 'em!

It's ok they are still going to the Olympic stadium and that is more of a punishment than anything that could have been done re Tevez.

What was once a proper traditional club/ground will be reduced to just another faceless, characterless modern day club.

It's a bit like losing limbs to gangrene and laughing when the bloke next door gets toothache.

Yep. I like the Boleyn ground and the atmosphere. The fact that it is a shithole round there and the fan base is mostly working class people adds romance for me. Sure we have a history with them, but it is a shame to see a club with a long, traditional history leave a good old ground. Nature of the modern game though Tuns. If you want to be successful you stand a much better chance with a bigger stadium. The revenue from the stadium should (in theory at least) generate extra revenue that can mean more transfers and a higher wage bill.

I think this whole West Ham saga is like a fucking obsession now, and has quickly become an albatross around our necks.

When it all kicked off, i was absolutely fucking furious, and still think we got shafted by all angles, shafted by several people such as Tevez, the odious Joorbichan, Scudamore, Ferguson and one or two others at the time, and it was a fucking travesty that they allowed to get away with what they did, but it was 4 years ago now, and it is time to let our obsession with West Ham go, and concentrate on where we are now, and how to get back to where we once was.

amen brownie.. top post.. i was saying this the day after the game.. until we get rid of this hangover we won't move forwards IMO
