There has been a film shot in sheffield starring Nicole Kidman "How to talk to girls at parties". I wonder if it's owt to do with that?

Most of the city centre hasn't changed since 1985.They are making a comedy/drama about Ann Summers parties in 1980's Sheffield, so it's probably that.
They were interviewing the writer/producer about it on Radio Sheffield the other day.
Same writers as "Smack The Pony" and "Green Wing" apparently.

Already done some filming for that down Sharrow Vale. Shut half the road down and refitted most of the fronts (including changing one of them into a record shop).
Best thing was I saw Lynn from Partridge (who's in it) wandering down Eccy Road, talking to herself merrily.
They were filming an outdoor market scene this week at the bottom of the Moor outside the Moorfoot building, it is the ITV thing Brief Encounters. Pretty much exactly like the 1980s down there.
