I asked a car park attendant what they were all there for. Said they were filming something down the road (pointed down Bramall lane) and that they were just using the car park. Nowt being filmed at the ground. I said I thought they might be doing 'When Saturday Comes 2' with a chuckle. He had no idea what the fuck I was on about (wasn't from round here).

Surprised they're still there though. Think it was 2 weeks or so ago that I asked.

ticket office said they're just using the parking - they filmed at Marco's Restaurant in the Hampton by Hilton the other day (old West Bar police station) and I also heard they'd been at the Merlin Theatre, Nether Edge.

Doing a modern remake of Hogan's Heroes, although it is now called Adkins's Heroes. With McCabe playing the evil owner & Phippsy boy as his bumbling sidekick.

Filming Mcabes life story..

They are making a comedy/drama about Ann Summers parties in 1980's Sheffield, so it's probably that.
They were interviewing the writer/producer about it on Radio Sheffield the other day.
Same writers as "Smack The Pony" and "Green Wing" apparently.

Found it.. "Brief Encounters":-

Already done some filming for that down Sharrow Vale. Shut half the road down and refitted most of the fronts (including changing one of them into a record shop).

Best thing was I saw Lynn from Partridge (who's in it) wandering down Eccy Road, talking to herself merrily.

They were filming an outdoor market scene this week at the bottom of the Moor outside the Moorfoot building, it is the ITV thing Brief Encounters. Pretty much exactly like the 1980s down there.
