If you have a look at the videos of immediately after the disallowed goal, when it focuses on the fans behind the goal, the missiles are only going one way and that's from the Boro fans.

TP replaced Tony Hardisty who went to the Mail or Express I think.
My mum worked for the Star typing up reports in the early 1960s and in the 1980s. She remembered Peter Howard, Tony Pritchett, Paul Thompson, John Piper, Brian Steer, Trevor Lovett, Reg Whittaker and Peter Catt. She said TP's first love was Golf

I might be a bit out on the dates, but TP worked for a paper in Nottingham - hence his warning to Unitedites going to Forest.

Anybody remember Peter Cooper of the Daily Mirror? Now he did hate United. He once wrote an article that said 'Sheffield United fans would cheer a police car because it was red and white (sic)". Also, around 1973, there were sketchy plans to dig a moat in front of the kop to keep the fans off the pitch (never verified), but Cooper's headline was 'No Joke. We're having a moat!'

Yes, TP was from Nottingham

you've met the police right?? dealt with them before?? thought not :D

The poster I had replied to had suggested another poster should confront people face to face when they criticise them rather than hide behind the keyboard. My reasoning is that he should do the same regarding the police.

Over the years I have had many dealings with the police. Most have been fair and some have not ... like in any community there is good, bad and indifferent.

Perhaps instead of being so brave and forthright on an anonymous fora you should confront them and tell them what you think next time you encounter such behaviour.
Football always has been and always will be tribal and territorial. In Sheffield,to Manchester to Munich to Moscow to Manchuria to Melbourne to Madrid.
The odd confrontation is inevitable. Not saying it's right, but it will never stop.
Knowing that makes it much easier to just get on with supporting your team. If you seriously think it can ever be stopped you are sadly deluded, and I don't say that patronisingly.

For a plural, forum singular.

And check the spelling of "excellant" since you tend to think that you are the boards grammar guru.

Happy to help.

You really are a sad loser. 334 posts on here and Christ knows how many as Geetartwat on BM and not a single one before pissed as a cunt time. Not one worth the effort and not one anyone thought worth making. Stick to Walter Mitty and talk to someone who gives a fuck. In your case that will be your imaginary bird,AKA a cheap blow up doll.
Wate of skin, waste of oxygen. Homeless in a cardoard box wherever is your pinnacle. All downhill now Holmes.

Wate of skin? "cardoard"?

Go to bed before you embarrass yourself even more, old timer.

Glad you accept everything in the post loser.
Clutching at spelling straws is all you've got.
Geriatric
You should get some sleep. Got to be up early for Chemist opening for your scrip.

we're in the championship now.. there are some big clubs here that will historically want a pop at us.. get used to it
Yeah, as we've been bullying little clubs in L1 for six seasons. We are now in a league where most of the clubs have as many headbangers as we've got.

I see our local newspaper has had to confirm that most of the United fans faces they showed as being wanted by Cleveland police, are in actual fact Boro fans.

It’s not biased at all even when it makes up complete horseshit stories about the blades.

Remember how we should support Wednesday in the play offs. I still can’t stop laughing at that nonsense.

An easy mistake to make - they were probably wearing red & white scarves :(

That is a pathetic and not even an 'apology'.

Obviously things change as events unfold but the Star loved it 6 weeks ago , when they were happily putting the boot in to United. Now they are merely 'pointing out' the fact they were way off the mark but not making any apology or even admitting their original reporting was massively inaccurate.

I am sure that Danny04 will be along shortly to tell us again that there is no editorial bias at the Star. Unlikely as it seems, but if that is true it means then that all this shit chucked at is, is down to errors/ low fact checking standards, That is even more of a reason not to buy the shit rag.

Hey, they just reported what the OB told them. Again.

You shouldn't have to be a journalist to understand that it takes two to tango. Most of the clubs in this division have a hooligan element. They are all capable of starting something and our lot are almost always willing to oblige. People are acting as if this is something new, it's not, it's been going on for 50 years now. I find all the hooliganism, reaction of shock and horror, press outrage and so on all a bit tiresome now if I'm being honest, it bores me to fucking death. The overreaction of the press and the police doesn't help either, and neither do the club with the ST checks in H block and telling everyone to stop swearing ffs. The behaviour of the police on derby day was just as bad as any hooliganism I've witnessed in recent years so they can fuck off too.

Just a bit of a ramble that with a few thoughts.
