Hi Guys,
Whilst the majority of posters on here seem to think I am ultra negative I will really try to be positive in the New Year.
My list of positives include:
Walker, Geary, Morgan, Ward, Camara, Speed, Killgallon, Williamson (if and when fit)and Harper, Naysmith (when fit),Henderson (when fit and not suspended) Captain Blade and Tom Hark
I'm not sure on the following but need converting:
Evans,Bunn, Little, Reid, Quinny, Paul Walker and Monty
I'm definitely negative with the rest:
Blackwell, Ellis, McCabe,Stewart, Taylor, France, Cresswell, Loans system, Andy Giddings, Seth Bennett, Brian the Blade, Dingles, Pigs
I am looking for help (but not with all my negatives)
Happy New Year to all Blades
Yours
Fiery

Killa, a positive? Bah!

If he had deigned to sign a contract it's not as if we'd have refused a decent offer for him. By not signing he could well end up in the same division but at a different club, leaving us with a major problem. The only winner being his agent.

No positives in that.

Honestly I do see Killa as a positive !
If he stays till the end of the season - we keep one of the bestcentre backs in the division and if we get promotion would likely sign a new contract
If he goes to another club in the Jan window we get an over inflated fee for a player with only 4months of his contract left! -which would probably fund another centre back eg Kallio
Much more of a positive than buying Cresswell methinks!

Naysmith is going to be a massive plus for the rest of the season both defensively, and going forward down our left side rather than always the right.

Yeah, then we can fully unleash the attacking phenomenon that is Jordan Stewart.

The problem is Fiery, the two most important people are in your negative list.

Not worried and I don't believe you anyway!

Blackwell Out.

Just turn your negatives in to positives
everyone knows two negatives make a positive - You have Six lots of two negatives, Leaving Andy Giddins and if your still looking for help, you and him can hold hands and swing arms as you skip up the drive to an institution of your choice.:D

This must be a wind up, Tom bloody Hark a positive

I've just become more negative than before!!! It seems some are suggesting the return of Gary Naysmith as a major positive.....:)

He's not a bad player, but he's no more than an above average championship left back being paid above average premiership wages. Whatever your views on him, don't get too excited. If we've got any sense, and I'm sure we have, he will be shipped out at the first opportunity - but probably when his contract ends at the end of the season as nobody else would dream of matching his wages.

When wages are taken into account, he joins Ehiogu, Speed, Hendrie and to a degree Beattie as another Robson disaster - one of the the reasons we now debt ridden and full of loanee's.

Ooops - sorry for this on a "positive" thread

Gary Naysmith is more of a footballer than both Taylor and Stewart are ever likely to be combined.
Until injured he was a regular international (albeit with Scotland), assured on the ball and solid in defence. Yes he did lack a bit of pace but was as good if not better than most full backs in the division.
A fit Naysmith between now and the end of the season would certainly solve our left back problems
Whatever wages he is on he is worth the combined wages of Stewart, Taylor, France and Reid all deemed not good enough by Blackwell to give a regular spot

I'd agree he's better than what we've got, but this is definitely a case of absence makes the heart grow fonder. He ended on a high, but has been largely innocuous for most of his time with us, IMHO.

I like your idea of combining players though. If we combine Evans with someone with pace, skill and an eye for goal, we've got a striker on our hands....:)

Is Naysmith anywhere near to fitness? Anyone any latest news?

Yeah he's close in fact he may get a run out on Sunday.

Was fit a couple of weeks ago but flew into a challenge in training and pulled his thigh.
